I'm guessing the Time loop (cross-dimensional theme) and the fact that humans-apes / humans-minbari relationship.

Which movie, the original(s) or Tim Burton's remake?

well if you 6 degrees of seperation...

Bill Mummy was in Babylon 5 and an episode of Star Trek Deep Space 9 with Colm Meany who was in Star Trek the Next Generation with Patrick Stewert who was with William Shatner in Star Trek VII: Generations who was with Christopher Plummer in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country Who starred opposite Michael Clarke Duncan in the Planet of the apes remake.

Who was of course opposite Charton Heston from the original, but thats 7.

And last time I checked, I wasnt a Narn, I want my spoo finely aged. That fresh stuff sours the stomach.

They are? Last I saw they were both historical documentaries.

B5 was an ISN documentary and Planet of the Apes...well, clearly that is real. Look at all the politicians in power! :p

You might be able to get there quicker. I thought Patrick stewart was in an episode of DS9 in a scene with Sisko.
    I could be wrong though

Well lemme have a gess! They both have themes of racism e.g Centauri-Narm, Apes-Humans...

Not sure that shaves off any time, but don't forget Colm Meany was in the Dyson Sphere episode with the actor who plays Scotty (who's name escapes me right now) that was in ST:6.

    James Doohan, isn't it?

its a direct link, obscure as hell... and none of you are even close...:)
  • RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
Well, there's David Warner, who guest starred in an episode of B5, and plays the Ape-senator in the Tim Burton movie.

and then there's Rod Serling beeing one of the writers on the original, and jms beeing a big Rod Serling fan (though that's not really a connection)
  • shadow boxershadow boxer The Finger Painter & Master Ranter
    nope....:)

A, well, err.. Shh thats classified.
  • The actor that links both films together is no other than
    Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa
He played Krull in the remake of planet of the apes, and also in Babylon 5 playing "Morishi" in episode: "Convictions"

    I got it!

    I don't care...
  • shadow boxershadow boxer The Finger Painter & Master Ranter

It's not the time travel idea.

B4 travelling back in time to set up the Minbari victory and lay down a future timeline....

The Earth ship in POTA eventually goes back in time and causes the events in the original.

    still cold... :P

Is anybody still searching? I sure am not.

Thomas Edison has a very bright connection to Babylon 5, he invented the light bulb... you know... the one the Centauri screwed in a thousand at a time at the slightest whim of the Emperor. :D
  • croxiscroxis I am the walrus
all of these are connections, just not the one you are looking for ;)

"Move along, these are not the droids you are looking for." :D
