suicide

no-one here is allowed to commit suicide without my express consent....

you talk to me first before you off yourself...

unlike my my on-line pal of 6 years Mary Chuhran who killed herself seven days ago... as I discovered five minutes ago...

suicide is a very finite and incredibly selfish and wasteful thing to do.

  • OUCH....sorry to hear that man!

Listener #2 signed up. my e-mail/ICQ are all over the net. Talk to someone before doing such an act.

and some tedious 'estate management' has to be done...

...sorry Jack but Mary was the girl with your computer case to be sent to you. My guess is you'll have to be patient whilst her people sort out her things. She also had 1300 bucks worth of my stuff too...

shit happens... I'd trade it all in on an e-mail from her...

I was actually waiting to see what Refa would post here. After all, he's been pretty open about commiting a suicide of his own for the better part of a year now. But I couldn't agree more with Random Chaos, death is a natural occurrence and it happens everyday and as such it's a normal thing. The impact it has on those left behind is tremendous, however, and the pain and disbelief is something of a different scale completely if suicide's the case. So yes, Refa, in this case 'immature' is the correct word. Go home and grow up, would you?

My condolences, 'boxer. I have an online buddy of my own who's become extremely dear to me during the last 7 months. She too has quite a history of pain, and I honestly don't know how down I'd go if I'd have to discover that she'd killed herself. I don't believe she'd do something like that but sometimes... I just get this feeling off of her... hard to explain.

Any word on if the funeral's already been taken care of? It would probably mean worlds for her family and friends if you showed up.

Refa, fuck off lest I ban you for a very long time.

I'm very sorry to hear that, you have my sincerest condolences.

I've personally been quite a few times at a point where i wanted to just quit, end the suffering so to say, but what had always kept me from doing it was the thought what grief that would give my parents, and my friends.

    Sorry man.

I too lost an online friend to suicide. Hell I almost lost myself once upon a time.....

Death is a natural part of life. However the timness of it is a factor. A person who lost someone who is old or a slower terminal desise will be more prepared to handle the passing than say someone who died in a car wreak. Suicide is like the latter, it often comes unprepared. Who knows how much energy and effort i invested in a small handful of people I know just to keep them alive. I once herd someoen who lost thier brother to suicide. When asked how he died, she said "He died from depression."

That brings a new perspective to the whole thing.

Also, when someone commits suicide the pain left on us is far bigger than anyother death. Because we can't but help to think we have failed, that we did something wrong. That is was our fault.....

    More "not so god" news

Well, not exactly on topic but close:

88 years old grandfather had some kind of stroke few hours ago. Right side seemed to be paralyzed. :(
  • TyvarTyvar Next best thing to a St. Bernard
I have a much different perspective on Refa, because Ive met people in real life who were like him, and actually did some of the things he talks about.

Frankly Refa's death will either end his suffering, or prevent suffering of those around him. And I think it would be better if Refa ended his own life, then to live to commit actions which force others to sully their hands with his blood.

And as far and as bad as Refa tries to be, Ive met much worse, socipaths who had just as sick tastes as Refa, but no self destructive influence, they had a desire to continue to exist and satiate their sick desires. And the control they had was amazing, and their ability to blend, to hide, and as I discovered to excape is formidable.

That being said, SB, your right, in the overwhelming majority of cases suicide is such a horrible waste.
  • I gotta say, Refa crossed the line there. My own views on the subject are fundamentally the same as his own, but I can still offer my condolences for this loss. Terribly sorry to hear about this, SB :(

I know I'm new here and I didn't see this thread before but just wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss SB and to E. T. - Hope your Grandfather picks up. *hugs*

After reading the other stuff it hit me with feelings that I have to reply to. Firstly I don't know either what Refa said was sooo terrible, certainly not to wish death upon:

Suicide is selfish but when you hit rock bottom this is all you can see and you don't see or feel others around you anymore. I never got this low but I have had depression yrs ago.

Its not what Refa has said here in this thread. Your new so you have mised alot of the wonderfull comments Refa has made. Refa claims to have tendancies towards pedophilia and homicidal behavior, plus other very, very nasty habbits an inclinations.

Its a toss up between weather he's just making stuff up to get our collective goats or he's serious about murdering and raping and whatever. We typically consider it to be crackpot humor, and ignore it.

However occasionaly one must send a message that we are aware of the fact that Refa might not be joking, and that there are such distrubing people present in this world, and we must be prepared to deal with them as necessary.

I thought that too that alot of it maybe made up to shock us, but as you are right in saying I am new and I don't know even 1/4 of the stuff he said and like you whether its true or not.
Hope I didn't stick my oar in as I know its not really my business. Just I felt wishing death on someone who is supposedly feeling suicidal well that shocked me abit only cos I don't know about Refa.

    See I should've stayed quiet lol. ;)
  • Hey i'm sorry for your loss man, unfortunately sometimes people loose hope and choose the path they think will give them relief from the pain if nothing else.

I don't post alot here, life has been hitting me with one thing after another, from what I have seen though it seems to me that Refa just likes to call attention to himself, its behavior i've seen in a few people in my time. they say things people are going to find offensive, and they feed on the anger or disgust expressed by others in order to feel like they are special or uniqe, to them it doesn't matter that its in a bad way just as long as they stand out. Either that or they simply don't get that what you say can really affect how people feel, and they have no concept of prudence or tact.
