  What operating system, Messiah? If you're running Win95/98/ME/NT or pre SP-2 2000, you can't recognize a drive larger than that.

  Check your HDD manufacturer, here's a page at Seagate's support website that talks about what you may be experiencing.

  If you don't have a Seagate drive, perhaps your manufacturer has his own set of tools and/or workarounds.

  I had a similar problem with my G4, and I had to get an upgrade card [url=http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempo_ata133.html](this one)[/url] to get the full capacity of my new harddrive. Here's a relevant extract from their site.
