Couldnt agree with you more! Wouldnt that be nice to see, an unbiased press in the US...
Now if only they would do the same in the USA...

And in Russia.
Independent medias have been shut down there.
Yea I guess we in the US shouldnt complain that we have ultra-biased news entities, considering what other countries have to deal with...
Don't tell that to your government.... Dubya might shut those against him in name of war against terrorism.
We finally have a, for the most part, unbiased media.
It stopped being Biased in the late 80's to mid 90's. That is what the Left lost control of the media, and started saying it was all right wing media.
fact is, the media is neither now. The left isn't mad because the media is right wing, they are mad because it is no longer under their control as a left wing soap box.
The left says it's right and the right says it's left. That to me says it's as balanced as it can be.
Phhhtt! What universe are you in?
:p
Hahaha, well we'd be left with only one news station then... and thats all Ill say, bc I dont want to turn this into a Bush debate ;)
"Yes, and it will be a station run by the french called 'Bastille Day' and NO ONE would be safe!"
"Their reporters would fart in our general direction!"
:D :D :D
JackN's right; with the exception of news programs on PBS and National Public Radio (at least AFIK), all US broadcast news and most of the printed news media are controlled by the entertainment conglomerates (Time-Warner, etc.). There's no way in hell that anyone could call the news media here (or anywhere else, for that matter, as the situation in other countries is the same or worse) "fair and balanced". Why, for example, doesn't the news media take a look at the good things that are happening in Iraq, rather than focus exclusively on fighting that affects only a few areas? If the news media really were fair and balanced, we'd be getting the full picture, rather than a few carefully selected snapshots that are meant to boost ratings. Fair and balanced, my ass!

The left thinks the media is biased to the rights agenda,
and the right thinks it's biased to the lefts agenda.
It can't be both ways, so it's one, the other, or neither.
Sounds like a conspiracy theory, until you see the pictures (is there some natural way for that to happen?). Whatever he has sure did a number on his face... Thoughts?
And I wouldn't keep it unpropable that Putin has his spoon in this soap.
thank you guys for prooving my point.

Actually, it can be both ways. As rhett said, different media outlets are biased in different directions. Because most people only use one media outlet (or two if they read a paper and watch TV news), they get hit with the bias of the outlet they use. This is why all media needs to be unbiased: because most people arn't going to look elsewhere to see if the story is different.
At Rudolfinerhaus, Yushchenko underwent a week of intensive treatment for several illnesses, including acute pancreatitis, a viral skin disease and nerve paralysis on the left side of his face, Korpan said.
Clinic director Michael Zimpfer said doctors were unable to explain some of Yushchenko's symptoms, particularly his strong backaches...
...Yushchenko's doctors in Kiev, the Ukrainian capital, said they had determined that "chemicals not of a food origin'' had triggered the illness.

Muscle spasms, pancreatis, etc... sounds like a chemical poisoning of some kind...

Yeah... ;)
Now if only they would do the same in the USA...
:p
Yeah, but who would the American media revolt against? Themselves?
Unlike in the Ukraine, no one is forcing the US media to lie. They're doing a good job of it all by themselves.
That was ment as a Joke.
Lol yes I get that, I just didnt want to get you started on the off chance that it wasnt :D

Excellent point, considering our incredible media bias is self imposed. :(

That's even worse if nobody even needs to force the media to lie.
