it was really bright and stuff once I screwed it in all the way...
ARRGH..MY EYES!!!
And 1 to count them all up and post the results :)

There was this one time where I switched a regular lightbulb for one of those power-saving ones. Damned if I knew that you're not supposed to use dimmers with those.
And now to technology behind light bulbs.
I think the reason to this was they're not pure resistive loads.

Fluorescent. Definitely. ;)
At least until ultra-bright LEDs become more common. :)
Mostly, though, I just want to be able to set things up such that all of the lighting is soft ambient lighting. I'm not fond of stark bright lights.

Well, those keychains with LED light are very good.
That what I have illuminates pretty well to distance of five meters.

but halogen provide a better light...fluorescent flicker...gives me a headach. (I hear ya on the energy conservation edge though...almost no power needed to run those things)
Yeah, that's the problem with fluorescent, not everyone can stand them. Most can, but some can't. LEDs have the advantage there too. :)
Ultrabright white LEDs are getting there. They're entirely technologically possible, have been for some time, and are even used in headlights on a few cars and in quite a few corporate settings. They can provide the soft ambient lighting that Bekenn craves. :)

I used to think that until I realized that flourescent lights are cold, dull, and really horrible to live with for a while. Halogen wins lately because of the warmth in its colors.

Well, actually these bigger LEDs are pretty bright.
Like I said that keychain with LED light illuminates very well to five meters if you're eyes have adapted to dark.
I want a green tinted one for my headlights...
(You see blue tinted ones here!)
*cries*
Anyway, I love mY LED Flashlight. Six high-power white LEDs, burns for days.
I KNEW green light was better then plurple light!!!!
I dunno.. well.. yea. It might be sick going around voyerising with the people showing up purple..
I prefer to watch 'em green. :) ^_^
id much rather see them purple; i would be more inclined to throw up if it were greens going at it
I'm more used to green mice.
Me too
Me three!
Purple goggles are better for UV. Specially for Solariums, you never see green ones for blocking so therefore since a few of you don't like the sun its cos you wear the wrong goggles - green.
Go buy purple today!
:p
his pants which he tears to shreads every time are plurple.
HULK SMASH PLURPLE! :D

Only because it would be an purple, overly muscular man whose pants rip off when he gets angry.
but your forgetting...all the comics, the old TV show....
Hulk has been around LONG before the movie!
