Working on a DEMO, to do list.

OK folks, I've been informed that someone else has figure out the Ambient sound trick we're using in GROPOS, it's agreed that he'll hold off on his map for a week, and I think I can get a demo out in that time. Things I really want right now are:
A few weapons, I have a couple of ideas, and I'll be working on those.

So, Checklist

Get three maps DONE

Thanks to RC, all I need to do is add sound to one more map and we have our three maps [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]

Have four tanks done
OK, fun one, need one more tank textured, and some serious work on the Vorlon tank... yippie [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/biggrin.gif[/img]

Have interface done (Yea, I can say that this is done!)

Have some weapons done...

OK...here is the fun thing, I have currently:
Vorlon Planet Killer: needs work
Centauri Mass Driver: needs model
Thunderbolt Boming Raid: pretty good, need new bomb mesh
Shadow Bio-Mechanical Plauge:needs model
Army Men: needs lotsa work.
EA Beam Cannon: needs model

Vlad, if you would be so kind as to make a yellow beam for the Vorlon fighter, it would be appreciated, I lack the time to take apart the red one. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]

Other then that, we're ready to release a demo! (Heh, there is a first, a demo for a TM mod)

    A2597: I'll be online Fri and Sat night from my laptop - and thus won't be able to work on maps. I can help with Entities as much as you need if we need it.

    As for next week...I have NO IDEA when I'll be arround...

    I haven't worked on any maps since I got home from college...not sure when I will...

    Well, that would require a new texture, which is (unfortunately) out of my realm of knowledge. Take a look at art/textures/laserbeam2red.bmp. That's what the beam I sent you used. All you gotta do is make a yellowish (or whatever you want it to look like) version of that texture. Isn't plain yellow what the Minbari beams look like, though? Try using laserbeam1.bmp as the texture on the explosphere instead and see what happens.

    BTW, remember that offset sphere I asked you to make? It dawned on me why that didn't work right.. I needed an offset cylinder. Would it be possible for you to whip one up (cylinder laying down, flat side facing the origin) and email the lwo file to me?

    As far as my own weapon ideas, I was thinking of doing a tank-mounted PPG, but I'd need to get some PPG sound effects (mainly the firing and the charge-up sound used when a PPG is loaded). Know of any sites?

    Do you have my Color Laser Pack? If not...I need to get it to you. It has lasers of all 6 main colors. All the graphics are there...all you have to do is place them on your meshes.
