I think it is more like the bsg reboot. The big general beats of the arc will be the same, but that will be it. So it will not be the same exact story. I'll copy what I posted on reddit. "Depending on the generation you talk to, almost everyone i…

SETI@Home is ending. This is one of the longest running this our community had participated in. I'll post a screenshot of the group page tomorrow!

There was a lot of discussion about weekly releases on the subreddit. The irony is that a weekly release forms a stronger community. There is a hotflash of episode discussions for about a week then it is just people making memes and talking about ho…

From A2597 stuff he sent me, but I got an untextured B5 into VR!

I was hunting for some b5 meshes the other day and a lot of the old resources have vanished into 404 and domain not available sadness. I also want to play with unreal 4 and just see B5 ships floating around in VR.

Any chance you would be willing to open some of your work for public use?

I think David's keepers is a bad case of too many details. The hints that he has a spat with his parents is a nice bit of world building. Londo gifting one is fine, but it seems like JMS was trying to shoehorn a sequel hook when one wasn't needed, a…

Sadly there really are not any open-use b5 art assets, it would of made life much easier for us programming types.

There is a short story out there that there are three fundamental technologies that all civilizations discover int heir stone age, fire, agriculture, and antigravity. Somehow humans missed the last one. Aliens came by and discovered that we missed s…

There is (was) one, last I checked.

I'm sure it is fine, the issue is computer games take a lot more time and energy to make than people think. Traditionally most people go with the spaceship side of B5 computer games -- flight sims or strategy sims, etc. The other side is the social…

It could work if it was largely standalone. I forget the timings but it could coincide with first contact with the centauri

I've seen this alot. The shirtless scenes make up for it.

I am.

I would agree. The actress who played Laureline seemed to be having a lot of fun with her part. I could of lived without the love-interest thing.

I remember watching this all the time. It was one of the few shows the Sci-Fi channel had when they first launched.

I would put the expanse very close to the top, especially with contemporary viewing expectations. S1 BSG is probably the last great space sci-fi series before this one (as much as I love KillJoys). It helps that the general plot outlines are already…

BSG got weaker with each progressing season, opposite of most series. Season 1 of BSG and the miniseries was some of the best television sci fi ever.
