I personally have heard bad things about Alienware laptops from some people, but I think if I had the money I'd go for one. Though the Dell's with the Centrino look very good too ;)

I'm currently learning CGI and Perl, but I know PHP fairly well ;)

I use RadiusCo for my site and love it ;) Defiant and TV have been great people to deal with and their servers are fast and reliable, I used to be on ZeonHost, but they've been plauged by DDoS attacks and some other things that they should have done…
