Buda5 Mission Collection (former X-Mas Packet)

Here is the first dev version of the [b]Buda5 Mission Collection 2003[/b], similar to the X-Mas Packet.

Addon's:
[list][*]Updated Ship Gallery
[*]Indie's Escort Mission [i](@Indie: See pog file for update details)[/i]
[/list]

Improvement:
Check if the user has copied the Ship Pack and Ini Pack into the correct folder. Otherwise an explanation screen appears with a "How to do message" and the Scenario wouldn't start at all.

I disabled the following temporarily:

[*]Warlord's Skirmish Generator due to the strange Ship Appearance

Like everytime: To listen to the Music unzip the Buda5_SkGen.zip into the mods folder.

All the files in the zip are under a folder called Buda5_SkGen, which is why the scenario won't work straight from the zip-file.

    UMMMM.. NO. IT WORKS FINE ON MY COMPUTER. AND IT'S NOT ALL IN A BUDA5 SKGEN DIRECTORY, IT'S EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD BE. AND I DL'ED IT WHEN IT WAS FIRST PUT OUT (A DAY AGO?) ALL I DID WAS UNZIP THE MUSIC AND IT ALL WORKED FINE. MERCIFUL, WHAT KIND OF COMPUTER DO YOU HAVE? U SEEM TO ALWAYS HAVE MORE PROBELEMS THAN OTHERS..... IS ANYTHING PARTICULARLY OUT OF DATE?? OR MAYBE YOUR RUNNING A DIFFERENT VERSION OF WINDOWS?

    If you want to include the Tinashi, it just needs some weapons sound fx and the statistics inputting (I'm basically making it 1/3rd the rating of a sharlin- 1/3rd firepower, hull strength etc.)
    And Logic... is your caps lock glued down or something?!?

    Tinashi would have to be in the ship pack, not the mission pack. As for her weapons, the reason i offered to help is because i have all the correct weapon sounds and textures for the sharlin (not the one that's available now, the updated one i haven't released yet b/c i completely forgot about.. HEY i should do that now... lol i made it over 6 months ago but it got burried.)

On my machine EoC didn't identify the unzipped version as a scenario, but showed it amongst the mods. Are you sure you have the correct version? (Or has Roi updated the zip inbetween?)

    Hey hey guys, don't dispute about such marginality. Merciful is right, there is an additional folder called [i]Buda5_SkGen[/i] that mustn't be there if you simply copy the package into the mods folder. But this shouldn't be a problem for the devs b/c

    i'm gonna render you some better background images for the packet... those are kinda... pixel ish. if u don't have anything specific in mind, i'll reproduce the ones already there, if you want something different, post here.

    does anyone know if we can use .bik movies as backgrounds? sortof make a DVD interface type background to go along with the game interface?

    Ok, here are the new bground images, they're already in .iff format and sized to either 512x512 or 1024x1024 (so they may look squashed, but appearently EOC resizes them on screen). anyways, if anyone would like desktop sized version, feel free to ask.

    OK don't get mad or yell at me, this is just my honost opinion, and i'm not one to discount acreditation... But... having the person's name in front of the mission in the mission pack seems... i dunno, unprofessional? shouldn't it just be, Buda5 Director War, Buda5 Escort Mission, etc...? just my humble thought, no offense at all.

    Thx for the pics Logic! Maybe you could make a pic with some freighters under attack (and perhaps the Buda5 Logo attached on one container) for Indie's Escort Scenario.

    i'll try that one next. i've never really dabled in explosion effects, so it'll be good practice. Anyways, u liked the pics??? :) i'm especially fond of the 2 sharlins.... and the gquan... well and the B5 pic ain't bad either, LOL.. like i said, if u want normal sized versions, lemme know.

    So Roi removed skirmish like I asked him to do before I left to holiday. It's bad PR if we leave skirmish there when it's not working. Now I think I'm gonna debug skirmish from beginning or should I just consentrate on small missions?

    Skirmish worked or at least ships appeared all the time in last autumn so I think bug got along somewhere in December release. I think GUI should be fine so it could be in ini files (still don't know why inis would cause this...) or global values could get messed up which decide ships for some reason (just wild guess). I do some debugging and try to make it work but if not then I probably move on to something else so I won't try to fix this forever.

    DEBUGGING

    Skirmish is the best scenario for a fast and funny fight with all combinations of our ships so fix it plz ... whatever it'll cost ;) .
