    [B]1000[/B] spam emails. All in one night. All exactly the same.

    Wonder if they realized that if they're going to spam me like that, I will NOT buy their insurance policy. :rolleyes:

    Good for you, being so forgiving of your fellow man! After they clog up your lines of communication, you still have the heart to turn the other cheek and send them treats by e-mail! I'm not so sure what sorts of treats can be sent by e-mail, but I'm sure it would be a pleasant surprise for Joe Spammer. It could be enough to turn him away from his life of crime. Give us a man on the inside, so to speak.

    My God, is this what I think it is? You have entire [i]lots[/i] of plant-based organic computers, all of them being recipients to your own spam? This is a waste of tragic proportions. A living computer should be researched so it can be improved and duplicated, not stuck in a lot receiving spam, of all things. Tisk, tisk. I'm going to have to get some of my scientist friends over to this lot of tree-computers and "liberate" a few. Pity you're so selfish with such a major discovery.

    I only get the occasional spam message or two, and those are bots trying to snag e-mail addresses. If you don't reply to them, they don't add you to their lists.

    btw, most of them want you to visit a website instead of sending an e-mail so signing them up for spam generally doesn't work anymore.

    Still, the last spammer that sent me a msg got signed up for atleast 30 e-mail lists for gay and scat porn. :D

    As for telemarketers....I haven't gotten pestered in a good while. :) I actually made one think that I was Steve Irwin! :laugh:

    Interesting link from [url=http://slashdot.org/articles/03/06/20/168203.shtml?tid=111&tid=126]Slashdot[/url] about using [url=http://projects.puremagic.com/greylisting/]grelisting[/url] to stop spammers. There is a sample implementation for Sendmail. I don't know how easy it is to transfer the concept to other mail servers for the more technically minded out there.
