Hurrah, Ireland makes it to the 20th century only 3 years late.

I wish...

Unfortunately it's not a genuine Irish virus. Your genuine irish virus would not have such a pale immitation of a lager. Oh no, the true irish virus would have a picture of a leprechaun with a GUINNESS.

Which leads me to the next question: Do leprechauns exist?

No, but here in Ireland we've developed a multi million pound tourist trade by bribing mice to dress up in green and dance about*. We pay the weekly bribe in thimbles of Guinness of course.

*We dont have to bribe them to dance. I assume most of you have never seen the effect of a thimble of Guinness on a mouse. It's quite amusing**.

**I emphatically deny any participation in any such activity or knowledge thereof: on the basis that the animal rights groups would probably kill me if I didnt.

And, because I'm a monkey, and an old fogey monkey at that, I must point out that Ireland actually is very software savvy. See this, this, and this for some enlightening information.

Sssssssh!
Dont tell anyone.

This is the country that created Ennis. Well, they took an existing town, and decided to throw tech and some money Microsoft had given for regional development at it as an experiment.

For free, they gave everyone cabled net access (broadband), free computers, set up a few software companies there, trained everyone who wanted in how to use the new technology, and basically made it the coolest tech savy town in the country.

Why? To see what would happen. That was 6 years ago. They still have better stuff than most of the country, who still use 56k dialup.

Im not sure what the experiment was to prove, but the residents like it on the whole.

It should only have 3.
If it had 4 it would be extremely lucky, they do exist but are very rare. Trust me on this.

I actually found a whole patch of 4 leafed clovers on a school field trip when I was 7 once. :D

Well, my backyard had a ton for a while (The four-leafed variety) and ended up being destroyed by the evil lawnmower of doom.
