DVD Cases

The more I look at them, the more I like the "Book" style cases that B5 comes in. After all B5 is a novel, so what better way to present the dvds?


I've got my fair share of collector sets and while some ideas (Back To The Future) are downright annoying. Others (B5 and Band of Brothers) just add that much more to the DVD expierance.

    I think the visual aspect of the [i]Band of Brothers[/i] case is great, but the physical construction of the fan-fold DVD holders is a bit annoying.


    But yes, the book style of the B5 DVD sets is just perfect.

    I'm a bit annoyed at Season 1, though. My friend's set was fine, but mine had three loose tensioners and would result in the DVDs abruptly pouring out when it was removed from the cardboard case

    I quite like the box my .hack//Sign came in. It's hexagonal. :)

    I agree, the book form of the case is pretty nifty. In comparison, the flip-fold arrangement of the case for the Fellowship of the Ring, Special Edition is annoying. Try getting the first CD out while holding the case. If your not careful the 4th disc will flip around and drop on the floor...arrgh!

    Thank god i'm not the only one who this happens to!, every time i take my LOTR DVD's out, i have to be ready to catch disc 4

    i usually set my case on a flat surface :P

    anyways.. i think the one thing that could have made the DVD's better is the inclusion of the PTEN teaser. although it was pretty much just an ad, i thought it was really well suited for B5... the color and everything was just right, heh, and... i kinda miss it, hehe :)
