I am extreamly excited!!! I feel so amazingly lucky!! For once the IRS does something that works in my favor (like give nice tax breaks for a work laptop (which will be used for other things in addition to work, of course :D ).

Have fun lugging around a 9.5 lb laptop. :)

Who care how much it weights, it's still more praktical than a desktop compter!
  • SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
you go on thinking that. ;)

Personally, I'd take a desktop over a laptop any day. But if I was given the chance to get an ultra-powerful laptop, I'd take it.

NWN has an issue with the ATI chips. The cursor blinks like mad unless you turn off the hardware mouse in the game options.

    Other than that, very nice.

I think out of that whole order I could only afford the tee-shirt. ;)

Well- it all came down too the nice looks and the good hardware... Plus my dad really really really needed a tax break- a significant tax break... This worked out to be one. Ill still use my desktop, but this will be nice because we are out of town so much.

EDIT: Oh yea- and the weight doesnt bother me at all. For one thing- it comes with a backpack, and for another Im pretty strong. Plus, youth can make you do stupid stuff..

I wish :D It took me three years to convince him a laptop would be a good idea (And the only reason he sprung for it was the tax writeoff)... I tried to say it would be great to get a regular desktop at the same time, but that got a "Fuck off, dont try to take advantage of this" type remark :D

I personally have heard bad things about Alienware laptops from some people, but I think if I had the money I'd go for one. Though the Dell's with the Centrino look very good too ;)
  • RhettRhett (Not even a monkey)
Never really heard bad things about Alienware myself (of course besides the cost :D). But I got this email today.. Wohoo!!!
