Ouch...
You're gonna hurt Marc Hudgins feelings with that...
I just can't see how you could do that accidentally. It seems like such an odd accident. From what I've done with Lightwave, it doesn't seem like it would be easy to do that sort of thing without meaning to, unless you were retexturing that section.

The texture map on the front of the rotating section is perpendicular to the front of the rotating section, so instead of getting Generic Panels across the section, there are a bunch of gray stripes that are a one pixel slice of generic panels.

I used the model provided by Netter Digital, address your complaint to them. BTW -most fo the models were pretty ugly in terms of construction and texturing -the result I'm sure of tight deadlines. Sorry if I didn't clean-up the image, that image was also a result of tight deadlines and was never intended to be the "final" image -it just ended up that way.

Okay. That certainly adds up. After the "incident" concerning the White Star's tail, it makes sense someone there was assing around in the surface settings and screwed something up.
And I would complain to Netter if they had the decency to do something other than fold like a drunk poker player with a bad hand the second Crusade was canned.
(In case anyone is wondering why I'm not assuming it was like that all the time, click on this render of the original Omega model from the Starship Modeler B5 Reference Section. Not the prettiest model around, but lacking any nasty texture errors.)
In any case, I now have the answer to my original question, "Who screwed up the texturing on the Omega's rotating section". Answer: "Netter Digital", the people responsible for making the White Star's tail look like a fish bone and causing B5 to not rotate in some shots, or to do it painfully slowly to the point of being unnoticeable.
Okay, I'm done now. Thanks so much for the reply.

I didn't insult anyone! Make a thinly veiled attack on their competance (or cleanliness), perhaps, but I didn't insult them! ;)
