It's a good day...

Last night I was on my way to a party. The light had just turned green and I was pulling into the intercection, when a drunk driver ran a red light and slammed into my driver side front fender.
My karma balance must have been positive becasue me and all 3 of my passengers walked away without a scratch.
Needless to say the entire front 1/3 of my car is totaled.
But if I had been a little quicker off the line he would have slammed right into me.
And this got me thinking, life is so fragile and can be taken away so easily.
Sometimes you just have to take a step back and appreciate the fact that you are alive.
Today is a good day because we survived unharmed.
So my fellow firstones raise a glass of your favorite beverage and join me in a toast:

Glad you're okay! Sorry about the damage to the material thing - car.
Even with a green light I always try to look both ways before going through intersections just for that reason.

I can't say how bad I'd feel if anyone here were to have been injured. You guys rock. All of you. And we've all formed this strange friendship over the past five or so years. It'd be like losing someone close to you in real life. It's a strange place, the Internet.

I'm glad you're all ok. One young guy got killed in a car accident last year who was a member of the Finnish B5 forum.
