• For some reason I thought the funniest scene in there was Will Smith's character struggling through the plastic stuff against a countdown. How he did all that while keeping a completely straight face..

I also got an added bonus before the movie: A brief ad for Terminater 3. No images or nothing, but just the T3 logo plus the soundtrack was enough to get the whole audience's engines revving, myself included. It was okay. I dunno... it just wasn't as good as it could have been. Plus it tried to be too goofy. Like when Zed attacks Serlenna. I just think if it were more serious than funny the movie would have been better. That's not say no humor... just not so much. Will Smith's comedy against a deadpan serious Tommy Lee Jones worked quite well for the first movie.

The fake in search of-style documentary at the start was incredible. I think that if they hadn't shown it a second time, things would have ended up better. It also took up a good deal of the film's limited time.

The best scene int he film to me was the Grand Central Station locker bit. I don't know what was so funny, but I almost fell out of my chair laughing!

It just shows you what a bit of original comedy could do. I was thinking that maybe if they had used more original routines, my response to the whole movie would have been more like that scene.

Something that really bugged me was regarding the trailers. Why must they ruin all of the funny scenes by having them overplayed in trailers? So many of the best jokes were played too often in 'em. And because of the relatively poor plot and short running time of the film, having the trailers reveal even less is more important.
Notice in how the original men in black, we never saw much.
Kay and Dee drove up in the LTD, we got the MIB uniforms, a few shots of the characters, a shot of the ship crashing down, and Jay and Kay arming their guns (using the original line: J: "Do you know how to use these things?" K: "Haven't got the slightest idea")

And the fact that the Mercury Marauder wasn't used really bugged me. I never saw the E320 notchback sedan as a proper MIB vehicle. It's just a cheap attempt to look hip at the expensive of quality.

But I'd still love to see an MIB 3 done with the original cast. Maybe L could return (why did they have to say he neuralizer her? She should have been out on assignment), and a better writer could be hired. Also, it seems like the cast didn't have enough (any?) involvement in the script. MIB was really nice because the cast re-wrote so many of the clunky scenes in such a way as to better fit their characters. It really added depth to the film. The writing in MIB2 was just so terrible at times.

But hey, that's how it goes. More later.
Agent S out!

• Muah... It was a good movie and truly funny in few parts.

"most of the aliens work in the post office" or something like that And this was more funny because my friend works here at the post office

I doubt that'll happen. Apparently, she was hard to get along with while they were making the first movie, and I've heard about the same actress having trouble on the set of another film whose name escapes me.

It wasn't Dogma was it?
• Drazi GuyDrazi Guy Elite Ranger
Probably was Dogma... they talk of her poorly on the commentary track.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
Yep. That's another reason. But it produced a nice character.

Right, it was Dogma. My sister mentioned it to me after I told her about the actresses "problems" during the making of MIB.
