Accidental "Shoplifting"

Anyone know anyone that accidentally walked out of a store with something they didn't pay for? Yeah, I know that it's the state's job to prove intention and all that stuff, but what I want to know is if anyone knows of anyone that this happened to and how the case went.

No, I'm not in any trouble, but someone I know is.

I have four kids. There have been times when I've had to take something back to the store that one of them had "appropriated." Never had any problems come up because of it, though.

I know it's not the same thing. Closest I come to it.

Hm, it happened to me 3-4 times in my life.
Nothing of a problem though - everything could be talked about.

Sometimes you're just thinking about something (but not about having to pay) and shop like normal. I once had my bags full and entered the shop once again to pay (can you imagine how the shop assistants looked at me?). Last week I went back into the sop because I payed for the things I had in one hand but not for the things in the bag in my other hand... I wonder why the cashier didn't notice it. Strange thing.

  • I have done it "accidentaly" couple of times, but nothing has ever accured after that.

What kind of trouble is your friend in? Maybe he should explain what happened?

I knew one who shoplifted candy, but he got cought once stealing a small car toy. They just said that if they ever see him doing that again they will call the cops. But it was the last time he shoplifted.

  • lord refa, you can get away once, twice, maybe 5 times, but sooner or later they will bust you, and pray that you're under 16, otherwise they will go full length via prosecution, and its the jail you'll be going to.

just think of it, a snoty centauri being raped by some narn
