Yep, I've read that a couple times over the years; it's a good book, though not as good as To Dream in the City of Sorrows. Be sure to pick up the Technomage Trilogy; written by Jeanne Cavelos, it serves as a kind of "sequel" to The Shadow Within.

Yes, I, too, just noticed it had been republished. I like the old cover better. Compare:

I only hope that the cover for the reprint of "To Dream In The City Of Sorrows" looks better.

Incidently, does anyone know why, on all the old covers, all the Starfuries had different colored versions of Sinclair's wingart?

Well I went on a book spending spree on amazon and ordered the new edition of The Shadow Within and the entire Technomage Trilogy, the Centauri trilogy and the psi corp trilogy...and won Clark's Law on ebay...It's only recently that I have properly gotten into B5..I used 2 watch it if I could but made no special effort...now i regret that deeply lol...I have finished the psi corp trilogy, and the centauri trilogy and they're some of the best sci-fi books I have read which are related to a series. I used to like Star Trek as well and I had some of those books but they do not compare with B5. I'm readin Clark's Law now...so far so good . I also have Books 1, 2, 3 and 9.Which is the best B5 book of the lot?

The best single book (outside of any trilogy) is probably book 9; the best trilogy, in my opinion, is the Psi Corps trilogy, followed shortly by the Techno-Mage trilogy.

I personally love the Centauri Prime trilogy the best. I think it has a great story, and I quite enjoyed reading about Londo's fate. Really is food for thought, the way that the book and the series examine the way he lived his life adn the way he meant to live his life. Really a guy with the best intentions who made some very poor choices and paid a hefty price for them.

I'm half way through the Centauri Trilogy but I have to say that I enjoyed the Technomage Trilogy more than any other book I have ever read. I really enjoyed the characters and I can identify with some of the things that Galen went through.

OK I finished Clark's Law and after reading the likes of the telepath trilogy and the centauri trilogy it seemed like so much dunnage (ie. i didnt think much to it). The Shadow Within I thought was exceptionally good definately on a par with To dream in the city of sorrows...im about 1/3 of the way through the first book of the telepath trilogy and its so far so good...the anna bits have been brill. lol i luv B5!
• I'm almost done with the technomage trilagy, and after it all, I think I liked the Centauri trilagy much more.

now...to find the psicorps trilagy...
