People from B5
So i'm watching Apollo 13 again today, and they are at the scene from the end where they are waiting for the ship to come out of comm blackout, and they show the Priest thats with the Lovells at their home, and i think to myself, OMG, thats Sheridan's father. So i look in the credits for his name, Rance Howard, and i think, ok, Ron Howard directed, Cliff Howard is in it, Their Mom is in it, OMG, David Sheridan is Ron Howards Father!

If I remember correctly, he was also in Independence Day...I think he was also a priest (at least he did perform a marriage ceremony or two).

You know, I never noticed that. Now that you say it, it seems so obvious though.
On the other hand, I would have never noticed Dr. Oken was Data if my sister didn't metion it.
Also, once in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Xander mentioned having a collection of Babylon 5 plates.

Yup. He's Ron Howards father. Great actor.

Yep, now that i think about it, he was in ID4. Usually i recognize people like that, although mostly i recognize voices. course that doesn't always work, Cause the Jedi with the Long head in Ep 1 sounds almost exactly like Wayne Alexander but its not.
Well, the guy that played Moran and also the Narn warleader that helped the Drazi attack ****** at the end of season 5 plays Ethan Rayne in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he also was at the beginning of Jurassic Park: The Lost World.

Now that you say it.... yes!!!!!
The Guy who played the EA Major after General Hague dies also played D-Day in the movie Animal House, as well as the spin-off series Delta House. By an odd coincedence The actor who played Vir was also in both of those....
That's Bruce McGill. He was also a regular on MacGuyver. He's done a lot of other stuff.

Oh dear god I never realised Vir was Flounder.
I will never look at that movie the same again.

Oh, General Hague was in Deep Space Nine as a Starfleet Admiral (cant remember his name) which is why the blooper from Severed Dreams where they say General Hague is on Deep Space Nine has more meaning

That's not quite the whole story. The actor who played General Hague (Robert Foxworth), bailed out on B5 in favor of doing a DS9 episode (I think he'd committed to the B5 ep first). So when JMS found out, he decided to kill off the character (not out of anger, just because the character wasn't really needed after Severed Dreams).
In the blooper scene, where Bruce McGill says "General Hague...is doing Deap Space 9..." he was actually supposed to say, "General Hague is dead".
Kinda makes it funnier after you know the whole story.
"General Hague... is doing Deep Space Nine. (Uproarious laughter) He was double booked by his agent and there's nothing to be done!"
It's the "nothing to be done" bit that gets me. God, I love hammieness. Why do you think I always liked Captian Proton, defender of the Earth?

As long as we're doing this, how about G'Kar playing that Romulan in TNG? He was really good. Or how about his role as the one-armed man in The Fugitive? It's amazing how well they covered his usual skin colour and bulky head to make him look human.

And of course Bruce and Peter Jurasik were both in Tron.

I've always liked Bruce McGill. he was in Time Cop with the muscles from brussels.
Vir was in Diagnosis Murder too, playing the same kind of bumbling character. He was a photographer who took the wrong pics of the wrong guy, and of course Dr Sloan had to solve it!
The guy who played General Hague jumped ship when offered a role in DS(, thats why they ahd to kill him off. He's been around a while too.
Peter Jurasik was in Dawsons Creek too, and Sliders. I think Garibaldi was in Martial Law too.
Boy these people get around don't they!

Sheridan dad was also in that not so good film Rat Race, that was out not so long ago. He was in the last scene where they all ended up at that charity concert.
I knew that was him! I recognised him in that. I'd almost forgotten...

You wanna see Talia? She's now working for ISN, i mean CNN, as an anchor on Headline News.

Took you that long? I figured it out the moment they aired the episode where Garibaldi sleeps with a loaded(!) gun under his pillow.
I honestly never understood that. What if you roll over and end up blowing a hole it the wall, or worse yet, whoever's shareing the bed with you?
