Another Ebay Auction

Well Sanfam here I am posting news of a B5 auction on Ebay... and this time I think the price is a bit much, hence I'm posting about it! [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/tongue.gif[/img]

I think its a bit high for the watch anyway...

    Yeah it is just a bit! I want to get it but, in the last month I've forked out on the game box, mouse pad, and the fridge magnet.... better wait until I get payed at the end of the month... hang on thats next Thursday!     Actually does anybody here have the Omega and Station models?

    What are they like? I've never seen one in the flesh but they have been tempting me for months!

    Biggles... not sure who it is thats selling the models, I think they're an online store, as for the watch, the person does seem to know abit about B5 and Sierra. If it was oen of us, they would have notified us of the auction....

    Falcon1, are you asking about the plastic model kits?

    I have 4 of the Starfury kits, and 6 of the Station kits.

    The Fury kits are awesome, though you'll have to do a tiny amount of hand-customizing to get the guns to look right.

    The Station model is pretty accurate, but the only bad thing about it is that the solar panels are a bit too think (hard to avoid at that scale, though).

    No I was asking about the pewter ones actually... I do have the Staryfury plastic model. I haven't started on it yet, I need to run down to the local model shop and raid it for brushes and paint and of course finger trapping glue. I'm waiting for the idiots who share a house with me to move out, and then I can relax and chill with some model building. Haven't done it since I was about 13. I'll get the station model at some stage down the line, though they are becoming more rare to find on ebay these days.

    I tore the band off mine and put on another free promtional watch (TIME magazine in case your curious. Glows in the dark, has real numbers, and is lined in with some sort of reflective chromed thing). I wore the B5 watch maybe three times before someone mentioned that the Shadow ship looked like a pot leaf. That and the brushed metal paint started to rub off.

    I wore mine for a year. Then the battery died. By that time the strap was pretty much gone as well, so I took it in to a shop and got a new strap (same style but without the bumpy pattern) and new battery. Now it's hanging on my wall. The watch itself is fine though. None of the metallic colour rubbed off.

    I'm still wearing mine, and it's still ticking away.

    Plust, the glass has no scratches on it, which is odd, because I've banged it up quite a bit.

    My watch is still ticking, no scratches, and NOT FOR SALE at any price, sheesh, some people will sell anything. heh

    Well if I got one of the watches, I would not wear it... I'd try and keep it as perfect as possible.
