Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
Dont they have any dignity in hollywood? Seriously? Remaking an english movie 3 years after its been out, but mostly with black cast instead?

Remake..

Chris Rock.. shesh.. He "wrote" it, it seems.. Yea. Take a ready script, add some stereotypical black jive talk and whoo ee.. we got ourself a brand new movie.

I'm not even going to download that turd.

And apparently has Martin Lawrence. So ofcourse its shit. Has he actually even been in a good movie ever?
• Bad Boys was indeed a good movie, at least in my books.

Thats 14 years ago... and not that great. :P

Huh. Well, looking at the trailers (I havent seen any before), I must say the first one looks to be the better movie.

Thanks for the head's up, Refa, I'm going to check out the original, the trailer is just hilarious. :D

I don't mind the remake... the cast is great. :)

If I'm not mistaken, the same small-person-midget-actor is in both movies. Priceless. :D

the first looks much funnier, and is done with better accents.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
Kiss my accent! :D
• lol, tracy morgan
• I learned of this some time ago, and I also think it's pretty low to remake a British movie only a few years later. The original is British comedy at it's best (at least, to this Yank).

At least it has the same little person in it.

Looking at this thread... Whats the worst you can call a short person? Stumpy? Not midget.. cuz thats kind of the official term isnt it? Dwarf is okay too.. gives a sense of honour and strenght i guess, depending on your universe.

Half-pint?

What would happen if fantasy elves and santa's elves got into a fight?

Are santa's elves fantasy elves, and all the other human races and humanoids in fantasy setting were just really, really short?

Well, isn't everything British remade on a whim anyway?

Ok, so apparently midget is classified as offensive.

How about pocket man? Like a pocket bike... I suppose that's offensive too.

Well Shorty, how about you call me dim witted and we'll call it even?

I think dwarf is considered ok. But I don't see a difference. The person is classified regardless.
Well, isn't everything British remade on a whim anyway?
I thought everything British was remade because the general US movie-going/TV-watching audience apparently doesn't understand British humour.

Did anyone else see that pilot of a US remake of Red Dwarf?

I love British humor, the British version of The Office was so much funnier than the american version, Coupling? Duh...
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
To tell you the truth, I tried to like the American version of The Office and it didn't work out for me. Maybe I should try the British one instead.

I like office humour. Dilbert is funny as hell... most of the time anyway.
• Entil'ZhaEntil'Zha I see famous people
The american version is unwatchable IMHO.
• CurZCurZ Resident Hippy
Maybe it's just me, and I'm certainly no expert on british humor, but I don't really consider The Office 'british humor'. I think of it as plain situational comedy, which is infinitely more adaptable. It is humor and it is a british show yes, but I wonder if the same people who enjoy the british version of The Office would enjoy 'true' british comedy like Monty Python, Fast Show, League of Gentlemen, Black Adder, Yes, Prime Minister etc.

Ever read Max Barry's novel, Company? It's hilarious.

• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
Well, what did you expect? You do know where you are. :D
• "the power of Christ impales you!"
