Just finished Reilly's Rangers quest in Fallout 3. This has been the toughest mission yet. Lots and lots of super-mutants to fight. I ended up using my flamer the most. Now I'm all out of gas. At least I got a nice piece of armor and the mapping deal for the effort.
I also went to fetch a copy of the declaration of independence. The robot guarding the document was hilarious. A protectron with a white wig, priceless. I let him keep the original. There's no fun in dispatching a senile artificial intelligence. :D

I talked him into giving it to me. :D

Heh yeah that made me smile too :)
Now that I've just handed in my coursework resit I can get down to playing some games again now! Hopefully today I can finish the campaign I'm doing in Battle for Middle Earth 2 and get on to Empire Total War
I am almost done with Titan quest. Completed the story line, got all my armor, all thats missing is the best charms, and best weapon. (In my case, I want Hades' Staff).
Once I get that, I've cleared that game. Then it's into X3: Terran conflict for light knows how long. LOL
The first GTA game I actually finished. GTA4 was the second one. SA is still the best of the lot as it offered a lot more fun stuff to do.
I have GTA:2 but never finished it due to the fact that there is no type of map system to find yourself around each city and when it is time to go back to the church to save your progress.Pissed me off totally! :angryv:
Something that can help you find the save points again in GTA2 is that the dishes on the TV vans you see are always pointing towards the church you save at. That reminds me, I'm also trying to beat the original Grand Theft Auto, but the Vice City missions are just so annoying, mostly because of the fact that the guy's instructions are usually so vague that you have to do the mission wrong at least once to figure out what you're supposed to do, and you can't retry the mission unless you start over, and there's no save, which also is a big problem, and then I still have to get 3 million dollars! It's fun playing the original and I love the music, but GTA2 was a major improvement in every way.

I'm having a great time with Wipeout HD. It goes very fast.
If you wait much longer for the PS3 to drop in price, Sony will be out of business. :D
The PS2 is still outselling the PS3... so it doesn't look too well for whatever you are waiting for. Same goes for Blue Ray. I have yet to purchase the first BR movie.

oh darn thats a shame...
I might get a PS3 at some point. I'm hoping the price will drop more, but the appeal of Metal Gear Solid 4 and The Last Guardian is almost too hard to resist.
I'm looking forward to only one (PC/PS3/XB360) game this year. Batman - Arkham Asylum. Here's the 10-minute intro. :)
The Joker is voiced-over by Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill himself. :D
3 games I'm looking forward to in the somewhat near future is Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Guild War 2. Hopefully there will be more games coming out I want to play. Still playing nwn2 and later going to play some oblivion again to get my crpg needs satisfied.
I'm still stuck in the Wastelands. I pressed on a bit further on the main quests. I got into the Citadel and hooked up with my new sidekick, a sister from the Brotherhood of Steel. :D I didn't care too much for the trek with Daddy-o from Vault 112 to Rivet City. I had to hold him back a couple times to take care of the baddies ahead as his battle tactics were a bit too... crude. The virtual stuff in Vault 112 was a nice touch. I would have liked to check it out further... maybe later.
I'm currently at the slavers compound in Paradise Falls, attempting to get those kids free without causing too much ruckus. I'm trying to avoid having to clear out the place but this looks very unlikely at this point. I seem to be stuck with the choice of setting only the two kids free as I was tasked to, or setting them all free at the price of killing all the slavers. Great.
I already have a bounty on my head... so I'm used to those improvised gun parties.
Tough call. I'm not really looking forward to kicking the ants' nest. :D
EDIT: And of course there is also another option which doesn't require you to go ape$4It on the slavers. I wouldn't have minded the violent solution, but that's probably for another playthrough. :D

Heh you know, you could have just fast-travelled back from vault 112 to rivet city ;)
True, but I discovered a few additional places on the way, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. Since he won't make it past a certain point in the plot, it's not that important. He wasn't much of a father anyway. :D
I'm currently going through with the Vault 87 missions and there are quite a few twists and turns. Now I'm finally getting to the interesting stuff. Everything's been a tutorial until now. Love it. :)
One thing is bothering me though. [sp]I was captured in Vault 87 by the Enclave with my Brotherhood of Steel sister and now that I have been released she doesn't even get mentioned. I wonder what happened to her. On the plus side I now got Fawkes in tow, the talkative super-mutant. I hope I'll run into her again somewhere because I'd hate to have dragged her down that Vault to die.[/sp]
the PS3 Slim and Price drop are actually expected this fall. Some speculation and second hand rumors, but alas, it's coming I'd say. :)
As for gaming, currently in x3, using the Bankrupt Assassin start - which really isn't easy...currently have my starter ship, and 4 M5 fighters I decked out, and formed into a wing. Cheap, and in a swarm, will take out most anything. I want alot of them :D
My game goal is to wipe out the Borons. Entirely and completely.
I'm not sure I like the pace at which the main plot is moving along. It had a slow start but it's now picking up quite a bit of momentum. I'll just do a few more side quests before moving on.
Still not sure how to go about the add-on packs. When you finish the main quest, is the game over or is it totally open ended? I would hope it is the latter as that would make more sense.
EDIT: As I suspected, I'm not too far off the end of the main quest. There are quite a few side-quests left before I'm ready to finish the game.

No the game 'ends' at the end of the main story, although if you get the Broken Steel addon I think it makes it playable after finishing the game.
I just played the Mothership Zeta expansion. Quite entertaining :)
Are you sure about Broken Steel? AFAIK you can only get The Pitt and Operation Anchorage for PC right now. EDIT: Broken Steel will be released by the end of the month with Point Lookout.
I was right to investigate further. I actually went back to Vault 87 to make sure she wasn't pacing around somewhere.... Star Paladin Cross effectively disappears after you are captured by the Enclave.
If you have Star Paladin Cross as a Follower when taken by the Enclave after retrieving the GECK in Vault 87 she may disappear from the game. In the PC version of Fallout 3, this can be resolved by typing prid 00062735 and then moveto player in the console. She will appear next to you and you will have to invite her to your party. This way, she will still have her inventory and you will not lose the items you gave her before retrieving the G.E.C.K. (unconfirmed)
The console commands work and she re-appeared next to me. The problem is, I have Fawkes as my current follower and you can have only one at a time. So, it's essentially a bug in the game. At least now I know. :D
Gosh dangit...lost 4 hours work in x3 because I didn't save. was raiding shipping lines and capped about 5 ships, one of them had 3 25mj sheilds on them, the exact sheild i NEEDED!
and then I got attacked by a group of pirates and died a horrible death. :(
oh well..3 hours in and I managed to cap another ship with 2 25mj sheilds. Unfortunatally I am now being targeted by pirates, and having some difficulty in claiming said ship....as it has a max speed of 25m/s!
grrrr

You can have two followers at a time, but a lot of people are incompatible with eachother. Like a paladin and a super mutant, for example. I just used Dogmeat as my 2nd companion, because noone cares about him and he's pretty good at taking the heat while you take down the enemy.
