Eh, what's a nuke or two... or three when you've got planet killers, high power lasers, firstones, orbital bombardment and telepaths running amuck. Nuke on Sheridan, Nuke on!
BigglesThe Man Without a Face
Exactly. He uses so many other weapons, nukes barely register.
OK, so they do register cause he uses them so much... but if you had access to great big nukes, wouldn't you use them on your enemies when there was no other way? OK, so maybe we wouldn't...

Erm...he uses nukes three times in the entire story arc. I would hardly call that a fascination. I've eaten roast beef more times than that in a lesser time frame, and I don't find myself fascinated about it.

Sheridan: Anyone got any nukes left?
Ivanova: You used the last one in that party with the green and purple drazi...
Sheridan: Ohh yeah, now I remember. Atleast it stopped the fighting.

Uh huh, in the whole story he only uses them a few times. BUT, how many conflicts are of sufficient size to justify the use? I'd say few enough, and in most of them he uses nukes.

This is set in the future, #1, they might be much cleaner nukes than we have today, #2, in space, nobody can hear you scream, #4
(yes #4, #3 was boring) perhaps in the future nukes are no worse than a conventional weapon today, I mean you've got planet killers, death clouds, particle weapons, and Pak'Ma'Ra porn. Nukes seem pretty tame.

4.)Thirdspace
5 If you include ACtA but he actually didn't detonate one there and 6 if you include detonating that jumpgate because that was one hell of a bang and 7 if you include transmitting that data to the probe that made contact with B5 and 8 if you include blowing up the nuke that was going to be used on B4. But you odn't have to count those because 4 is still a lot.

The detenation of Nukes in space is the equivalent those large bombs they used in Vietnam to make LZ's. It is a very usful and logical weapon to use in space. There are absolutly no enviormental concernes becasue space is already a radioactive envioroment. It's not the all-powerful world ending weapon it is here on Earth. It's just a rather large explosion.
