So I've been teasing about making my own scifi series for awhile now.

At last the website and trailer are up and running!

    honestly not bad...I like the use of the sims characters to get your idea across.

    Needs:

    More original music something spacey (I.E., E.G. who gives a fuck?) AZID JAZZ

    Voice Overs need some sprucing up (staticy)

    Otherwise good luck...

    Im actually starting to enjoy this. Youve got a great medium to use, first episode I was not convinced, but its growing on me.

    Thanks Messiah, the first episode was written and made quite awhile before the other episodes, so there are significant improvements to the story.

    I can't wait to release episode 4 :)

    One thing of note: The soft-speaking coordinator woman whose name currently escapes me...her voice is dangerously difficult to hear, often blending into the music (it happens with a ew other characters as well, but she's permanently hit with it). Is it too late to adjust the audio mix and re-render?

    Me likey alot. You have some strange "camera angles" especially in the first ep. Is this due to the constraints of the games you are using ? This got better as you did more eps. The Admiral's voice is suitably creepy but it does get overwhelmed by the soundtrack occasionally.

    How long does an ep take to make ?

    It nice to see one of our own making quality machinima !

    Partly constraints, partly getting used to using those engines (they're so different from what I'm used to using for Star Wars machinima). I'm much happier with the way the episodes are developing now but I'm not going to do a George Lucas and edit the earlier ones.

    Several people have comment on Yasuko's voice being hard to hear sometimes, the recordings for the first three episodes are pretty quiet.

    With the following episodes, I increased the mic volume, so that won't be a problem anymore :)

    Each episode takes a few weeks to create, I've been working on churning out episodes since about January. I had hoped to be ready when Galactica finished but didn't quite make it.

    Nice. A few bright explosions are always welcome.

    The only problem I have with the story so far is that I have a hard time connecting the episodes to each other and finding the common thread of an overarching plot. I suppose I'll have to watch them closer to each other to grasp what is going on.

    A few stronger visual cues (uniforms, hairstyles) might help to distinguish between the different characters. The only one sticking out is the corporate shark type woman in her red dress. [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNjYR3Colss"]Watch this clip to see what I'm talking about.[/URL]

    I like your editing style though, the cuts are really well done. The SFX shots are equally well done for the most part, with the exception of the blue jump aura which looks a bit strange without a seamless gradient.

    It's not easy to get consistent quality audio from your voice actors if they all use microphones of widely different sound quality. I don't know if this can be fixed unless the sound bites are recorded on hi-end equipment.

    There are many threads running through the series, they haven't come together yet ;)

    It's impossible to get the voice actors to record on the same quality as they're located in different parts of the world. I don't really have the budget to get them all in one place or to visit them individually with my own microphone. Most do a good job though, so can't really complain.

    By jump aura do you mean around the ship before it jumps or the tunnel like effect I used?
