Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino

Just saw this one and I must say it's not your average movie. It doesn't quite end like you would expect and it gets you thinking long after you have left the screening and there are not many movies that have that effect on its viewers. This is not just entertainment, it's an intellectual exercise. A what-if scenario.

As usual, you know when you are watching a Clint Eastwood movie, because there are no wasted or superfluous shots. I suppose he made the movie in less time than planned and under budget, no scenes needing to be shot more than once or twice to get them right.

This is old-school film making at its best. At the end you'll think you know why the movie is called Gran Torino. ;)

    Eastwood is a genius.
