I guess this means, we can now shut both this forum and the firstones.com website down.

    Our work is done. :D

  • Vorlons in my HeadVorlons in my Head The Vorlons told me to.
I confess I still don't have all the season sets on DVD. But thats alright. I still have all the rest on VHS recorded with the TNT logo on the corner. :D

This is proof that Vorlon's are coming on the 24th!

And once again, any Americans are free to head to Best Buy, where the seasons are always $20 each. For $80, you can have four years of solid entertainment. For $20 more, you can watch the final episode :P
  • Entil'ZhaEntil'Zha I see famous people
Sams Club sometimes has them for $14.95/season
  • C_MonC_Mon A Genuine Sucker
    And I bought them for 34€/season :p

Shouldn't that be "4 solid years of entertainment", and for $20 more you can watch the beginnings?
  • you sure sanfam? BetBuys site list them as 49.99

Retail stores, Mr. %. Hit up the stores and find them there. It's a real steal!

I occasionally stumble upon those when I watch old tapes to see what is on them. The TNT logo is a great date indicator.

Now what would be really cool is if we still had one from Channel 12....doubtful though, but you never know.
  • Entil'ZhaEntil'Zha I see famous people
funny you should say that, because while packign up to move, i just found a whole box with some of my TNT B5's, lots missing though, because i taped over them,
  • I still have all but two or three Crusade episodes on tape, back from when it was first aired on TNT.

I have a few on tape myself.

Probably should stick them in sometime.

My grandfather recorded them when I had school back then.

Yep even got A Call To Arms on one of them.

I dont even have a VCR anymore.. Jovian Sunspot anyone?
  • I still have one. Watched The Prisoner on it fairly recently.
Oh yeah, I also have War Without End (both episodes), Sleeping in Light, and Severed Dreams still on tape, all from the TNT airings. I also have The Gathering still on tape from one of the Sci Fi channel's airings, and Legend of the Rangers on tape still (still haven't decided if I'm going to buy the DVD. I figure I will eventually just because I'm a B5 phanbui. If it had cool extras on it, that would sure entice me more).

I feel like the VHS version are better than the dvds honestly...

It guess its the nostalgia, like its 97' again.

Not a care in the world other than B5, Star Trek and avoiding class as much as possible. heh
  • Entil'ZhaEntil'Zha I see famous people
we've been watching ST with my daughter, already gone through TOS and the first 6 movies, we've now moved on to TNG and have just finished season 1. figured she's already seen B5 from beginning to end, she should see startrek too.
  • StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
Resistance if futile, she will be assimilated! :D

I know what you mean. When I watch one on tape, fast forwarding past the commercials, I start to get a little nostalgic. Feels like it's back in the late 90's again. But really, I vastly prefer it on DVD. Better audio, video, easier to fast forward and rewind, or to just go to a certain part I wanted to check again, and no risk of the VCR eating the tape! One thing I don't like though, is that War Without End part one is the last episode on one DVD, and then the second part is the first episode on the next. Pretty annoying if you just want to watch just those two combined episodes.

BTW, from what I've heard, VHS tapes are not produced anymore. Anywhere. This news came in TV a couple of weeks ago.
  • Really? They've finally been phased out? I was wondering when that would happen. Does this include blank tapes that you'd buy to record stuff with?
  • Entil'ZhaEntil'Zha I see famous people
Yeah i read the article, there was one place left in florida that had them, and they just shipped out their last stock a few weeks ago.
