Eat more roos...

...to help fight global warming! :D

You know, I could get used to eating more kiwis (the fruit, not the bird or the natives of New Zealand), but I don't know about them kangaroos, I doubt they taste like chicken.

I think every farmer in Australia would agree with this...

Try and eat a kiwi, though, and you'll get lynched. :p

Still just endangered, despite the best efforts of rats, ferrets, wild cats, and the occasional idiot person.

Funny thing is the only place you find Roo meat in the US is in high-end hypoalergenic dog food.

I've tried roo burger before, wasnt bad actually. There's an international market just off the main street of Aberdeen every couple of months, and theres one or two stands that cook roo burgers, wild boar burgers and a couple of other less common ones I cant remember right now

I've seen many disgusting things being eaten by people that would make many of us get sick just from watching them do it. Eating roos is nowhere on that list. If prepared right, I'm sure most wouldn't even notice the difference. It's all in our minds.

Ahh yes, i've also had Rabbit, it's actually quite good, Ostrich is also quite yummy.

Not only in pet food, also in burgers, at least in Houston, TX
http://www.ziggyshealthygrill.com/menu.html

I wish I had tried one when I lived there. I think I'll sure try to go to that place and have a 'roo burger whenever I visit Houston again.
What I did have (not at that place) is a Buffalo burger, real American Bison meat, not the "buffalo chicken" burgers you see on some menus.

Have you tried jellyfish? I had it in a Chinese dish.
Turtle is endangered in Mexico, if it wasn't I'd have tried it already. I have yet to try snake, but the rest you mention I've had.
I've also eaten grasshoppers, a delicacy, and a tradition from pre-Columbian times, in the state of Oaxaca in Mexico.

Rabbit is good. I've also had Ostrich, very tasty and tender meat (just don't overcook it), also leaner than beef.

I know an Australian who loves eating kangaroo, he says it's delicious, with a slightly gamey taste... sounds yummy.

I have had fried jellyfish at a place in Chinatown, of course, with all the stuff i've eaten in Chinatown etc, i've prolly also had dog and cat... go figure.

Grashopper, i can't eat insects, they may taste great, but i just absolutly DETEST insects.

I"m also not a huge fan of seafood. i like shrimp, but lobster, ugh, it's a giant sea cockroach, AND it looks at you while you eat it! creepy!

Rabbit is not like chicken. :p

Ill try everything once. We only live once, and since food is such a large part of our lives, theres no reason to avoid a creature because it looks creepy. What Id really like to try is grilled big spiders and deep fried grasshopper, supposed to taste like peanut.

Seriously I would eat anything except "that" and eggs. I have a strong distaste for anything with raw, or cooked eggs. It seriously makes me nauseous to the point of vomiting. When it is blended into the food that is fine but if its easily taste able I will usually be in the nearest toilet.

Other than whats been said I'd like to try Mongolian Marmot (rat like creature). Its actually a Mongolian staple and easily hunted (they are attracted to anything white.) But very hard to cook apparently, You need a pair of plyers and a blow torch (not even kidding).

Well, I've had ostrich meat over the holidays as well. It's indeed tender and tasty if you like the flavor but I wouldn't go out of my way to get some more. :D
• I've been wanting to try rabbit.

Preferably cooked over an open flame...
