Okcupid looks pretty good so many geek girls to choose from doubt I'll get any responses though. :/ Plenty of fish is definitely weird this other girl figured out my AIM sn by my username being the same. Man I talked to her for two minutes on the phone just out of curiosity and all I could really decipher was "Special Ed". And I hung up the phone. lol I'm sorry but I may be dog, but I am not going to go out with someone that can't hold a conversation.

Definitely a few geek girls on okcupid, and in scotland too! whats the world coming to?!
On a slightly related note, is it (as I was accused of today) selfish to want to wait to find a gf who's not ideally not Scottish? Just because I dont want to end up tied to this godforsaken crappy country lol!
It is but not in a bad way. Unless you found a girl that really wanted to leave with you, you (and the theoretical girlfriend) are better off without the misery that comes with such a big decision.
Worf

We'd be better or without the misery of scotland IMO :p
I've been told Scottish girls don't wear kilts. :D

PSI-KILLER: yeah that would be a fairly accurate portrayal of most of them.
Stingray: the ones I like best don't wear much at all :D

I guess it could be considered selfish if there's a severe shortage of men in Scotland. :D
I have no objection to Scottish men not wanting Scottish girlfriends. In fact I'm of the opinion that they should bring their accents to where they can be appreciated :)

Alas I'm originally from Yorkshire, so no scottish accent here :)
Never. It sounds exciting until you see it done. Impersonal, frantic (in a bad way), and generally a poor way to network given what other options exist. The advantage is that everyone is (generally) single, but it's primarily a look-fest with no time to ever get to judge character.

Flibble: yeah that is kinda the downside of where you live....you'd forever have to be apologising for doing things wrong! :p
Sanfam: I agree, its just not the way to go about meeting new people.
I dunno our good friends Darryl and Lizette met through speed dating, depends on what kind of person you are and what you are looking for.. they've been together a couple years now
Like I said, it's a form of networking, and if that works out, then great. Of course, if you're interested, try it! There's only a few genuinely poor decisions and that's not among them. :P
This girl on Plenty of Fish totally wanted to call me just so she could masturbate on the phone. "I think you're cute can I call you and finger myself while we talk?"
So how did all of you Plenty of Fish couples meet again? :-)
Quote (43): Sanfam: so I had an interesting start to the day. The girl and i started talking, and as it turns out, my webcam was on.
Sanfam: I didn't know about that.
Sanfam: I had no pants on. :P
Anyway, kind of almost back on topic. Have any of you been tempted by the idea of speed dating?
