OK It's my first post. This looked like an amusing thread. My friend has stopped me being allowed to choose my own men (apparently I'm a disaster) so he's signed me up to mysinglefriend.com Now he gets to choose fore me and I get no say. Do we think this might just be a disaster?
Welcome to the forums! Beer's in the fridge and the nuts are all over the place!
Yes :p For me I look at it this way: could it get any worse?

Hang on....are you a girl!? Just so you know, there are only three girls here. I'm one of them. I feel rather....outnumbered. Another girl is very welcome! Of course, if you a gay guy that's fantastic too. :D
P.S. I would also be one of the aforementioned nuts scattered about somewhere on the floor....
Quite possible. I've read some stuff about how many messages women at such sites get, I just find no way I can manage to difference me from the others.

Oh you're not kidding. I got dozens of messages a day. That's why I put some very specific instructions in my profile, i.e. don't bother messaging me if you're not a geek.
I still got messages from non-geeks so my first question to all guys who didn't identify themselves as geeks in their profiles was "ok so what Scifi shows do you like?" if they said "uh...none" or "i don't know" or anything else that wasn't a show or movie title, I replied with "yeah...you know I only date geeks, right? see ya."
Yeah, I was seriously that cruel. But then again, in the online dating circuit, you kinda have to be.
hmm actually i met someone from POH.com last night, she was very interesting but heavily overweight so sex wasn't really possible. heh But seems like she could be a good friend for the future.
Yes, the angle theory is correct. I recall one girl from Yahoo! Personals who looked great from the high angle. But when she showed me her myspace picture she had her hair dyed differently, she was grossly overweight, and her eyebrows were shaved. Lost interest immediately...
I'm not convinced about the angle theory... on principle, although there may be a real trend on dating sites. Too bad you can't even hide your excessive pounds from your face, so it's just a way to delay the inevitable.

Callie contacted me, but then again, she's a little bit loopy bloody nuts :p
You are doing pretty well with all your break-neck activities. I'm not sure if it draws the crowd you are looking for though. :D

I know it may sound harsh and shallow, but I only dealt with profiles that had pictures.
