Dating Sites again...

So yeah I've been using True.com and received one email so far but lots of winks...

More than I was getting at Yahoo Personals! I'm wondering those that have used them have you had any success?

Yahoo Personals date sucked result: One night stand and another ditched me completely.

True.com: so far so good got an email and really liking the girl I'm talking to, some real potential there I think.

    When yahoo was free, I found my departed wife. When I had to start paying when I started looking after Beth passed away, I had like 3 dates and they all were bust. I've been trying singlesnet.com, no luck yet. and singleparentmeet.com (since I got a kid), and no luck with it yet. Well to be honest, I can't afford to by membership so I can email... pfft... Anyone know one that's free?

    I've heard so many horror stories about dating sights. I know they are anecdotal, but still. On the other hand, a friend of my fiancee and I found her girlfriend through eharmony and are very happy together. So, who knows?

    None, but thats because I dont pick them up in the pub, I pick them up else where and go to the pub because there, unlike in a club, I can actually hear what they're trying to say to me ;)

    Wow Plentyoffish.com is great, I already got in touch with a woman in the S&M scene. lol Could get crazy!

    Oh and one night stands are completely not worth it...I felt so bad afterward even though it wasn't my fault.

    I seem to have the strange habit of turning the average "just flesh" and "nothing to it, really, let's just have fun" -scenarios into the other type of scenario, where I find that I'm not really interested in anyone else but the girl in question, 'til it goes wrong for one reason or the other. I believe the trick would be to leave 'em as one night stands, but that's the tough part for me. It's usually the second or third night that stirs the familiar nudge in me'. :/

    And I can confirm, Plenty of Fish is fantastic. I met about 5 or 6 different people there before settling on Sanfam. Two of them are still friends.

    I haven't still quite grasped the concept of this human behaviour. What happens? And what is this love everyone is going on so much about?

    All of those are highly illogical if you ask me. :)

    Ow goody, best of 5 or 6. I checked out a selection containing 83 pages of women on some other dating site and only 1 of them had an appealing face, and I have to add there were no more than 3-4 photos per page available with 95% of the users not showing any portraits at all.

    I don't get it, unless of course you need to sign up before those photos become visible, which might actually make sense, but still, you need to put at least a true-to-life ID picture, otherwise what's the point? Hey, I didn't know Angelina was available, wait a minute...

    I also think there were some gals blatantly lying about their age... :D (guys probably too...)

    If your pics are liked you meet them in a coffee shop or a very public place. If you don't hit it off you leave or they do after the first cup. Set some ground rules before meeting and it should work out fine. Somethines the coffee was the start of a very sweaty night.

    I had been lurking and I just added him to my faves for later and he saw that, checked out this matching dealy, found out we matched 97% and messaged me :)
    We both had crappy luck on eharmony and it was waay too expensive.

    OK It's my first post. This looked like an amusing thread. My friend has stopped me being allowed to choose my own men (apparently I'm a disaster) so he's signed me up to mysinglefriend.com Now he gets to choose fore me and I get no say. Do we think this might just be a disaster?
