Relatively different, but funny.

Got to love the laugh. Some people complain that he cant beat Jack Nicholson, but from what I have seen and read.. this is gonna be a brand new Joker..

Still.. trying to keep my hopes low. Even with the new AVP movie.

You never know..

I was at first disappointed about the scar thing.. but well, will see how it works on screen.

I actually heard from my brother Jack Nicholson was turned down for the role.

I cant wait for that movie, I loved Batman Begins :)
• A different Joker for a different style. I hope he doesn't try to redo Nicholson's portrael.

Looks like it's going to be good. Little things like not insisting on a new batmobile every movie make all the difference.

"This town needs an enima...!"

"Never rub another man's rhubarb!" :D

Really though, that looks like it will be one of the coolest movies next year.

Indeed, tho while looking cool, I'm not too sure about the BatBike?

No BatNipples or BatSkates... Can't complain. :P

The first building that explodes is...er, was the office part of the Brachs Candy factory. I worked there for a while. Was fun to see my old office explode!

I have to admit. I was afraid to watch the trailer til now. Ive started thinking: "Nothing with Christian Bale can be bad". And thats bad, can only lead to dissapointments.

Edit: And the B5 one: ROFL! :D

I wasn't sure if Heath Ledger could pull it off at first, but it looks like I might have been wrong. He actually seems suited to the role.

Has anyone else seen Equilibrium? In it, he kills with statistics. :D
• ShadowDancerShadowDancer When I say, "Why aye, gadgie," in my heart I say, "Och aye, laddie." London, UK
Equilibrium is an awesome film. As I recall, its only downside was that it was released at about the same time as the matrix so was assumed to be a knockoff
• MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
Of course Ive seen it. Its one of my all time favourites. Above Matrix btw.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
Between Equilibrium, The Matrix, and The Thirteenth Floor, The Matrix is by far the weakest. Factor in the sequels and it barely even registers.
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
Absolutely. I thouroughly enjoyed Equilibrium, and found it to be far better written, paced and directed than The Matrix.
• Was the one with Jack Nicolson that dated allready? Looks like a rehash; i don't know.

The Batman franchise was in desperate need of a reboot, so this and Batman Begins before it are, to me at least, welcomed.

Batman Begins was great, I had no problems with the movie what so ever. I think Dark Knight is probably one of the most anticipated films of 2008 even more than Indiana Jones IV. I on the other hand can't wait to see Indy IV.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
The funny thing about The Matrix is that it practically a perfect hybrid of Equilibrium and The Thirteenth Floor with some evil robots added in for good measure. But it loses so much of the charm either of these other movies carried with them.

And Batman, oh batman... I respect any movie which makes the fancy gadget-laden hero ride a fully functional offroad vehicle. Oh, and the story was pretty good, too.
• I hate all the Matrix movies. And now those Matrix Brothers (Wachowskis or whatever the hell they're called) are making a Speed Racer movie. Oh boy. Expect lots of bullet time with the camera spinning 360 degrees on three different axes to stretch the movie out.
Batman Begins ruled. Of movies I've seen in theaters the past few years, the ones that stick out the most to me are Batman Begins, Clerks 2, and Spiderman 3. Most just aren't very good. Though another movie I've seen fairly recently was on DVD and from Korea, Old Boy. After seeing that, I've realized that movies aren't inherently flawed, it's just that most people who make movies (or just Hollywood) have no clue how to use the medium correctly. The people who made Old Boy knew how to do it right though.

I'm sorry, Spiderman 3? I thought that was terrible, easily the weakest of the three. I came out the cinema with my mate and the first thing I said was: "since when was Spiderman a musical?!"
• Well, I actually liked it. YOU BIG MEANIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone remember ROAR? One of Ledgers first roles and a darn good show. Yet another show Fox killed far too early and replaced with Single Female Lawyer...
