    I saw a documentary on the Apollo program just a few days ago, from the astronauts' POV and it was quite interesting. Oddly enough the most striking part about it wasn't the landing on the moon, but how they had to relieve themselves in micro-gravity using plastic bags. Now how juvenile is that? I mean who the hell cares if they had to crap into bags and make sure parts of it wouldn't float around the cabin? I guess it was part of the astronaut profile back then, along with the shiny space suits.... it just seems so silly compared to the achievement.

    True, but it does take away some of the glory, doesn't it? :D

    I mean, which other job forces you to work while wearing your own excrements? All those astronauts doing EVA's in their white spacesuits... there is no job quite like it, is there? I guess that's the untold price to pay to be up there.

    "Man, the Earth looks beautiful from up here... but it's been two hours since I took a dump in my own spacesuit... but it's all worth it... I wish though they could do something about the smell..."

    I do believe NASA is looking for new spacesuit designs for the next lunar missions... I wonder why? :D

    Because the current ones are too inflexible and difficult to use and maintain.

    I'm sure cosmonauts could add some handy tips on how to use a shotgun... to keep wolves away from the landing capsule until a helicopter arrives... :P

    ...and generally how to stay alright in lonelier spots of the homeworld, after you successfully avoided incineration in its atmosphere. :P
