Odd thing is I got my wife's parents hooked on B5 (they were recording it for me and started watching). When ever I visit we get into B5 discussions. But I can't seem to convince my wife its worth watching, she somehow thinks its below her to watch.

I mean, if I went 'round saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
Interesting. It was nearly the same with my girlfriend. When we got to know eachother, I was already a big B5 fan (Season 3 had started in Germany back then). She usually just laughed about my "science fiction obsession" (it was truly perking up again because of B5). Then, one day we watched "War without End (I)" -- and I tried to give her the background of it (which turned out to be the background of the whole show ).
First, she was a bit frustrated about my babbling but eventually she realized that B5 wasn't just another piece of SF crap but a well worked-out drama. When she visited New Zealand -- and her flat-mates there were X-Files and B5 addicts -- she got really hooked. She didn't miss one single episode until the very last.
