So, my 9 year old daughter had a field trip yesterday, I went to pick her up afterwards, only to find out that she spent much of the trip, trying to convince everyone on the bus that all Mattresses are named Zem, and trying to explain exactly what Flolloping is.

She named her WoW character after a B5 character, wants to watch DS9 on DVD. and spouts random Hitchhikers Guide quotes at her schoolmates (and NOT from the movie) I think we may have raised this one right!

    It also gives us parents an opportunity to do some fun stuff we wouldn't ordinarily be able to do without looking foolish. Although, thanks to the popularity of Lego's with my son, he is unfortunately a Star Wars geek.

    that is one awesome pic! The nearest R2D2 mailbox to me is almost 3 hours away in Southern Maine,

    Kids are great, too bad they turn into Teenagers eventually (my wayward teen daughter is coming home for the summer, since she can't seem to get a job in NYC)

    she's a lazy 19 year old HS dropout. So... lol

    it'll be good for her to come up here and work for the summer, but once she goes back to NYC in the fall, she'll have to find something.

    Entil'zha- yeah NYC is tough to begin with and unless she wants her only words to be "do you want fries with that?" then I suggest she finish high school.

    Right now she's trying to earn money as a model, unfortunatel, alls he seems to get is guys who want to see her naked but don't want to pay her for it.

    it's all TFCD Portfolio buidling work, which basically means they take her pictures, give her copies with their logo on it, and use them to build their own portfolio. Good for the Photographer, not so good financially for the Model.

    hmmm... rough. she could check craigs list? they often need people for models there? but yeah if I were her I would go home, make some money and then start off by trying to get in any publication and then come back to NY.

    She's going to be a Suicide GIrl if she ever gets her shots taken. she's been dragging her feet (a good thing IMHO, i'd rather her not do it, Not because i'm opposed to what she's doing, it's her life, and i've already told her that if she wants to do it, we'll support her, but because SG's contract is Draconian, once you sign, they basically own you)

    she's just got some growing up to do, but if she comes up here, she can make a lot of money so at least she'll go back to NYC with some cash.
