Deep and sincere condolences from the whole Russian B5:ITF (and not only) community

To all US citizens and victims of the Tuesday tragedy: we were all thrilled and horrified by these atrocious acts. Please accept our sincere concolences. Yesterday Russia had a Minute of Silence, commemorizing all the innocent lives lost in these terrible attacks. I was delegated by the Russian B5:ITF community to deposit flowers to the US Embassy in Moscow. The Embassy fence is litterally covered with flowers, burning candels and crowns. Nothing in this World, gradually going insane, can be even the least justification of loss of thousands innocent lives... We join the mourning and resentment of the whole progressive World community.

Grievously and compassionately,

huMMer

If this horrid, cowardly act serves to unify the world, for instance bringing our two great countries closer together, then it is possible for some good to come out of this.

Since I am a child of the Cold War, I can't begin to tell you how much your actions, and your message here, means to me as citizen of the United States, but also as a member of the world family.

    Thank you very much.

Randy and I have been exchanging e-mails, and, after reading this thread, I thoughth this thread of what I wroe seemed appropriate.
I'm sad to say I now know how my (now deceased) grandfather felt on December 7, 1941. On Tuesday I saw America change, and, I believe, the world changed with it.

I just hope that the solidarity that formed in the moments of shock between America and the other nations of the world continues to show strong solidarity at time passes, and high emotions subside.

The sooner the world realizes that ideology and politics are not our enemy, but the forces of terror and chaos are, the better the world will be for everyone.

We should revel in our diversity, rather than force homogeneity. Diversity is the beauty of this planet, and the people who live here.
huMMer, please extend my deepest thanks to the B5:ITF community in Russia, and let them know that the hands joined in friendhip between us will never loose their grip.

    -Rick
