    I've got DSL, which plugs into my machine in one of two ways.

    Via Wireless Router:

    Download: 1704 kbps
    Upload: 191 kbps

    Via Wired Router:

    Download: 1776 kbps
    Upload: 185 kbps

    Odd. I would've expected more of a difference. That's interesting.

    wireless and wired dont have much of a speed difference. ping times could be different however.

    my ISP offers 15 and 20mbit lines as well (for LESS than i was paying for my 3mbit line from the old ISP) but they currently can't get it to me in those speeds where i am, 10's the fastest they will go for now...

    but, i'm very happy with 10/1
