The bad is that the Pathologist found Cancer cells in the postop biopsy, they are waiting for another pathology report for the final verdict, so we should know by thursday. Oh what fun. [/B][/QUOTE]

    What's the news?

We still dont have the final report, the first pathologist sent it out to another one to look for a "Minimially invasive follicular cancer"

At the moment from what we can tell, her thyroid is busy boozing it up in Provedence Ri with some strange pathologist, as soon as they both sober up, we should have some sort of result, prolly in the next 7-10 days.

As long as y'all can keep that sense of humor, you're going to be able to make it through anything.

My wife and I have found that being able to laugh helped us through the worst events in our lives, and in the end, brought us closer together.

I couldnt agree more, if you can't laugh, even at the worst of times, then you are doomed, DOOMED i say!
  • MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment

Unless you laugh so hard that your soda squirts out your ears, then you can feel sorry for yourself.
  • MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
    Yeah, but thats ok.. :p

Im going to be off the internet a few days. My thoughts are with you both and when I come back, I hope you will have an answer, and a good one at that. :)

I hope you they let you know soon, my thoughts are with you and I pray all ends up fine.
  • Entil'ZhaEntil'Zha I see famous people
unless the pathologist finds something unexpected, I dont expect to hear anythign until her next Dr's appointment on the 25th.
  • Entil'ZhaEntil'Zha I see famous people
So we saw the Doctor yesterday, It is indeed a minimally invasive follicular cancer, She was supposed to go up and see an endocrinologist to get started on Radioactive Iodine, but when our doctor called him to make the appointment, he took a look at the pathology report and all the other pertanant info and said that she doesnt need to be irradiated, that it looks like they got all of it.

so they will be keeping a close watch on her over the next year just to make sure there was no far body metastases, if they find any then they will be treated with Radioactive Iodine pills,

But at the moment all looks good, looks like the surgury was a success and they got it all. we hope.
  • MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
Good news! Hopefully that will be all of it.

I know from expeience that the waiting is the worst part, now that youve got the answers, you can breathe out, and start living your lives again.
