  Havent played tribes, and I played around with this one just for a couple minutes. Hopefully we firstonians can get a game going!

  It's not better than tribes, but it is a work-in-progress. It has a lot of potential, and it *is* free. And It is compatible with the latest graphics hardware.
  
  The inventory system is also improved, as you can select gear on-the-fly, and all you need to do to pick it up is wander over an inventory pad.
  
  Weapons are roughly the same as they were in tribes. They've got the disc launcher, rockets, grenades, vacuum gun, plain old shootin' gun...
  
  No vehicles yes, but the code is there to make it possible.

  After lurking here since before ITF was cancelled, I was suprised to see someone mention Legends. I never knew any of you guys played Tribes or Tribes 2.
  
  Legends isn't too bad, sound needs some work but overall its a good effort. Pity the time required to become half decent in Tribes is longer than most point and shoot players will usually give.

  I've been playing this game a fair bit, it is quite a bit of fun. I have tribes 2 and have never been a fan, I like to shoot my enemy rather than hit them with something that has a blast radius. This is fun however :) I hope they get some more detailed and interesting maps soon.
