    Yeah, I refuse to join myspace. It's just filled with a bunch of teenagers who think they have something important to contribute to the world... which they don't.

    I do, however, belong to facebook so I can't say too many bad things about those kind of sites.

    I'm on both myspace and facebook. My website is my primary location of information. I really only check myspace if some one sends me a message -- altho it has been very good in regaining contact with long lost friends. I like facebook much better but it is limited to college students.

    Myspace is like the personal homepages from the mid 90s, except instead of animated gifs we have flash and media player movies.

    I actually made a profile there, some online friends from a music site invited me, but I've left that page languish, I have serious doubts about ever again updating it (I'd rather spend my online time lurking here and other places). Maybe if myspace ever goes out of fashion so it can become useful for something beyond teenage angst (and info for [url=http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060421-6650.html] police busts[/url] of [url=http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060407-6553.html] stupid teens[/url]) I'll think about using it again.

    Well I saw on TV about this guy who kidnapped and killed a girl so he could try to eat her (Litterly). His myspace account was used in like his psyological aspect of the case. I can't remember where it happened though...

    Saw that too, though the news here didn't mention anything about myspace (just generic mention that he blogged about his cannibalistic urges) the images on TV were of his myspace page.

    Yes, but Im Tyvar, stalker extraordinair, and myspace is [I]one of the best free stalking resources ever! [/I] ;)

    Its a great tool for figuring out where old aquaintances are, what they are doing, best routes to plan your day to avoid those annoying conversations, you know things like "why did the ATF raid my appartment?" stuff like that.

    I actually joined MySpace because Eric Whitacre is on MySpace, and if I registered, I could use that mp3 player thingie in the browser and get some of his choral works that haven't made it onto CD yet. I don't have a profile or anything though.
