Oh, did I mention that I have this thing with Java? I hate it. From the bottom of my heart. It must be some devil's tricks... Why I hate it? I've had to code with it. OH, THE HORROR, THE HORROR!!
I'm just tired of its slowness, exception handling and the ridiculous pedagogic rules and strict objectiveness. It's just not my thing. Creating JSP pages or servlets is pure pain compared to PHP or even Perl (not to mention battling with Tomcat) and lately when I had a chance to choose between C++ or Java when making a small MySQL app, I chose C++ and used the MySQL C API. Just the thought of using Java gave me the creeps...
I'm I the only one here who hates Java? :D
...and I'm getting off topic here. Aww crap.
And I don't code (other than basic html and css) so I have no clue.

While I don't think the language itself is that bad, it is far from my preferred language, I think that its use around the world as a teaching language in computer science (not vocational programming courses) is a bad idea, and I really hate the fact that the interpreters all seem to be so damn slow and memory-intensive. Making a sandbox doesn't require that many resources.
As for AJAX, that is nothing new. It's been around for years. It only became popular when someone gave the concepts behind it a catchy name.
