It's interesting, but a bit off-base, especially the tag line:

Convinced that life on Earth is doomed, NASA wants to colonize the Red Planet

Umm, if life on your planet is "doomed" how is it better to move to an even more dead planet?

    Obviously they've never played Doom. Otherwise they'd know its Mars thats "doomed". Better play it safe and send the astronouts over with a BFG 10K. Just in case...
