the rumor i heard was that there is a tabbed version of PIE for the new Windows Mobile 2005 OS, I"m entitled to an upgrade for my Ipaq, but HP hasn't made it available yet, so i won't know for sure until "late summer 2005" which to me means, sometime around December...
i'd love an alternate browser for my Ipaq, but can't find one that i like, THunderhawk is too damn slow.
I want to hook a PDA keyboard on to that. :D
A company called Logic 3 is making a PSP keyboard that doubles as a screen protector.
I installed the 2.0 firmware on my PSP this morning, but haven't tested the web browser yet -- Although the updated PSP does support WPA-SPK encryption, the authentication method isn't the same as the one my work network uses. :(

Have now. :)
[This post brought to you from a PSP.]

802.11x? My university uses 802.11x so I can't use it there, unfortunately. :( But it'll be good when travelling, eg at airports and train stations, since I won't have to pull out an entire laptop just for a quick browse.
The browser is surprisingly full-featured. Tabs, ability to disable loading of images, cookie management, can turn javascript on and off, and it can even resize images and reorder pages to display them better on the small screen. The only thing I've noticed so far is that if you fill up all three tabs, particularly with image heavy pages, it starts to get quite slow. Probably due to the limited memory in the PSP.

I'm definitely going to have to get this new firmware next time my PSP's near a wireless network. Could even be tonight....
The Longest Journey, eh? Interesting choice.

You don't have to update via wireless...you can download the firmware to a memory stick (via USB cable to the PSP or a card reader) and update it through the PSP's interface.
Have you got a screen protector on yours, sam?
Yeah. Currently, I'm using the Pelican screen protector. It does it's job, but visually, it's not that great; it tends to give the screen an odd "shimmering" quality. I've ordered a Martin Fields screen protector to replace it, though.
I also have a Pelican Face Armor which, although cheap, I like a lot.
