Name of Centauri Emperor

In season II episode 9 the Centauri emperor dies (as we all know ;) ). I just happen to wonder what his name has been - I couldn't remember it so I watched the episode again (thanks to modern technology - DVD :D ) but neither is he announced any other way than "emperor of the Centauri" nor is his name dropped during all the conservations :eek: Does anyone out there have an idea what his name might be? (Turhan, which is mentioned sometimes, is probably wrong since it is the name of the actor not the emperor.)

    And I think the name of the actor was reason he was named Turhan too..

    And this from JMS about the actor:

    right then that I'd write a part designed just for him, and no one else.

    Are you sure? As I wrote, Turhan is the name of the actor.

    Yep. Both the Emperor and the Prime Minister in that episode were named later, and both were named after the actors who filled the roles, Turhan Bey and Malachi Throne.

    Fascinating - and in fact an honour having the character you played named after yourself :D

    (Concerning the prime minister: I didn't realize his lack of a name :rolleyes: )

    I'm SURE Londo mentions Prime Minister Malachi at one point. It could be the part where he says that he has poisoned Refas drink, or the hologram of Londo that is used on Narn when Refa is killed.

    I don't have season 4 on DVD yet, but I'm almost certain that Londo mentions their names when he's talking about Cartagia dying in the episode that he dies in.

    Right. At the beginning of that episode ("The Long Night"?) Londo and Vir are in conferance with a bunch of other Centauri revolutionaries. One of them mentions that Prime Minister Malachi could have stopped Cartagia from, um, doing his insane emperor thing, but that Malachi was dead, thanks to Londo's "friend," Lord Refa.

    He was probably mentioned at some other point, but that's the only one I can remember.
