Actually, they didn't purchase the rights from AoG. Warner Bros cancelled AoG's license, which in turn caused AoG to go out of business. It was maybe a year later that Mongoose started this one.

Coolness, I guess they bought the rights from Agents of Gaming then :)
And btw, this map: http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/product_images/full_size/b5galguidel.jpg Is it anything like the map in ITF?
Is there a bigger version of that anywhere? I have a map very similar, but that one looks like an updated version of it.
Okay, first of all; Yay! An Excalibur to go with my AoG minis! Double yay for the fact that they're still being made in the first place.
Second of all; what's with those stands? Several miniatures (like the Omega and Warlock) are sitting on one stand, when they very much require two to hold it up. The stands aren't even in at the center of gravity, but at one of the old mounting points. Unless they have lead weights at the bottom, or are glued to the table, I don't see how that can work.

There is a discussion in Mongoose about starting to make them out of plastic instead. (Yay!) :D
This is whats said about plastic ships:
"PLASTICS
These are very much on the cards now but will not likely surface until much later this year. First up will be EA ships, but more will follow if they prove popular with you chaps."
> And btw, this map: (...) Is it anything like the map in ITF?
Nope, it is completely different as far as systems locations and hyperspace routes on the map are concerned.

Well, the two B5 maps are enough for me. Besides, the other one looks exactly the same. except for quality, suns and planets. :p
Also, isn't the Narn homeworld called "Narn"? Every map I've ever seen has called it Homeworld.
Also if anyone wants the maps I got, I can post them. I don't know where I got them or who made them.

When it's done I'll take some pictures.
I don't have any others but I do have the game box that includes cards with pictures of the ships on, though it's not so exciting.
Worf
Words cannot describe my desire to own each and every Babylon 5 craft in miniature. I LUST for those $99 packs.

Would they come painted too? That would be good.

They will probably be unpainted, but who knows?
