Does anyone know if Warner plan to replace the defective DVD on Season 5 where the first part of the episode "The Fall of Centauri Prime" is snipped off before the credits?
I've checked their UK and US site but see no contact info.

Darn it. I don't understand why it seems so hard to create an English/R2 set when all they have to do is copy the US set...

Which season 1 dvds are defective?I recently bought the B5 the Complete First Season DVD which contains only episodes 17-20 Signs and Portents(DVD Region 2)!The 4 episodes are the following:
#17 :Legacies,
#18 :A Voice in the Wilderness Part 1
#19 :A Voice in the Wilderness Part 2
#20 :Babylon Squared.
I don't remember the scenes in the intro in which the B5 station is being built and seeing the solar panels and fusion reactor waiting to be attached to the rest of the station!Awesome!!!
maxdamage.
It's a certain Helen Mason now that takes care of the replacing of the faulty DVD's. :)

My disk 2 of season 1 had a fault. I had a lot of trouble finding the Australian distributer and when I contacted WB in the US they said to send the boxed set to them for testing and replacement. Nearly 4 months and several ignored emails later I still have heard nothing.
Just a quick warning to those with defective disks, make sure you send them to WB reps in your own region.

Just for the record, I didn't have to send them anything other than a letter telling them I owned a box set with a defective DVD.
With Amazon.com you send them your defective box set only AFTER you received the replacement set. Others may require you to send your defective set first and I usually refrain from buying box sets from them (play.com for instance). Box sets have a statistically higher rate of failure than single discs for obvious reasons.
I don't buy digital media from companies that don't have a good customer service and a good satisfaction guarantee with a solid return policy. Some companies take longer to act than others due to a lack of staff and so processing takes longer.
Oh, and being friendly certainly isn't wasted on customer support, even if you are mad and/or frustrated. They are people too and you will be treated differently if you remain calm and courteous. :)

I agree with you on that :).
I have been courteous which is what bummed me a bit because despite manners I have still been ignored.
I had to deal with WB directly as the boxed set was a gift and I did not have the receipt. They may not be able to do anything because of the different regions btween US and Australia, but I think they could have at least sent me an email to let me know and I would even pay to have my boxed set returned.
I should probably say that most other stories I've heard of defective disks being replaced have been good ones, just a couple that haven't.
Also, another part that is different is "The Corps is Mother, The Corps is Father", the original VHS and broadcasts of that episode had a modified intro, most notably a Psi Corps symbol on the back end of the station where JMS's name was, that's replaced by a standard season 5 intro.
That's not in the UK version? That was one of the coolest things in season 5! I remember seeing it back when it first aired and thought that was so cool, and then when I got the DVDs, I was hoping so much that it would have the Psi Corps beginning for it. I was worried that since they didn't show the original Delenn in the first few season 2 beginnings, it might not have the special beginning that was only in one episode, but when I got to that episode and saw it, I just yelled "YEAH!" and replayed that part a few times since I was so happy.
Not that I'm trying to gloat or anything.
I purchased my own copy of S5 DVD Boxset from Play.com a few months ago and I've been slowly advancing through my second run of B5 lately. To my bad luck, it seems that 'Fall of Centauri Prime' is missing its' beginning segment and it starts right from the intro. It doesn't break up my enjoyment for B5 but still, a small annoyment.
