Lost, also partly known as "Pirates of the oceania". I more and more have a feeling for something similar to "Bounty" where the crew inhabitet an island......maybe they only can get girl childs and therefore need boys to keep the population up :P
I think one irritating thing though is that I am getting a feeling I am watching the show not because it is good, but because I want to know the "mystery". It is not "exciting" any longer, you know what will happen in a way, but not how, there is not much room for variation.

I was kinda feeling that way until the finale. That was plenty exciting enough though.
There is too many questions and too few answers coming in each episode for me seeing any reason in discussing them, it may take 10-20 episodes until you get an answer to something you are wondering about, and then the answer is creating 10 new questions. Especially since they are planning 5-7-8 seasons........The timespan it too large to discuss.....easier with other series when you usually get the answer in the next episode...
And after reading that the answers are going to have a natural/scientific explanation....I lost the interest in wondering what it could be.
it's not as square as it looks in that video, it's just missing some frames that show it more smoky.
They also appear in another scene a few seconds later. There are two of them over the beach.

Spoiler: It's also worth noting that the "smoke" (ie the security system) seen in ep 24/25 was not necessarily the thing itself, but actually the smoke from the dynamite with the thing moving through it thus making it look like the smoke was moving.

Why would the rectangular smoke thingy want to blow up the engine by pushing someone into it.
Rephrase the question differently and the answer is obvious if you've seen up to the end: "Why would the rectangular smoke thingy want to kill someone by pushing them into the engine?"
Also, I think most of those things flying around are just bits of debris. The one pointed out probably isn't since it seems a bit out of place, but even it could just be debris being blown by the explosion.

as for the monster in the smoke, possible, but we saw it before Locke got curious, and it was a whisp of smoke that Jack and Kate both saw.
You know, they almost have gone too far without giving us any answers... The show would be alot more interesting to me if I had a little more information about what the fuck is going on. Cant wait for next season though :D

Whats in the hatch?
Etc etc...
Spoiler: There's a ladder in the hatch...

When was the first time you saw the smoke?
Season finale rights?
Wrong.
Watch the season premier, 5 minutes in, when the guy gets sucked into the engine, at 10% speed.

Later on, I'd almost agree with you, except that they again, don't move correctly to match up with the explosion.

And then there is this, only for one frame.
