B5-TC-XWA Questions

I need some input from the community:

This project is huge for me to work on, and time is limited, so I need to narrow the focus on certain things so I can release stuff sooner instead of full fledged random releases.

What timeline/era should I work on, and what ships should I focus on the most?

EA/Dilgar, EA/Raiders, EA/Minbari, Narn/Centari, ISA/Shadow/Drakh, or anything else someone could suggest.

Right now the models are random, some need upgrading and fixed up, so I need a new goal to start on.

If anyone wants to help with the project, I would really appreciate it as well. A project with the potential to be a full cd's worth of new content is a huge undergoing by yourself. Currently I need people who can make a 3dface object that can be exported to my Acad2k program, or someone familiar with acedxf and/or opttech, or someone familiar with Allied.     It seems to me that every time a new mod is mentioned they go on about how they're going to focus on some particular time period of the show.
    Here's an idea. Just make all the ships. Start with the ones from the period during the show's 5 years. Make them suitable for playing skirmishes. Release a fun skirmish system. [b]Then[/b] concentrate on making a campaign set during a certain period.
  • I agree with Biggles. Leave a campaign for later, create a skirmish system.

    People will create their own scenarios anyway.

    yeah, that would be best. XWA already has a fairly good skirmish generator so it shoudldnt be that hard to do
  • Well that means I need to focus on the fighters, then some basic capitals for each group. I'll focus on the fighters first, then work my way up the capital line. I wish it was easy just to do "all" the ships, but that's well over.. um...over 60+ differnt ships just to cover the basics, and a couple of "non-cannon", and some semi-cannon material as well. Doing this project myself, it takes quite some time to get even one ship up and going. Thanks for the input though, it helps alot to know what people are interested in so I can hopefully get more support on it.
