holy bad episode
SpiritOne
MagnetoABQ NM
in Zocalo v2.0
So I was watching Galactica last friday, even though Ive seen both the episodes shown about a half dozen times thanks to downloads and I figured Id catch Enterprise later.
Well its later.
Holy crap, that was bad even for Enterprise. The writing was so crappy, when Archer is yelling at Trip, it just doesnt feel right. When he is trying to justify his decision, hes not even putting any emotion into the crappy words. When Trip and the scientist (whom I will now refer to as Eli Vance because he put more emotion into that character than he did this one, and has a hotter daughter as Eli too), transport that probe and start getting telemtry, Trip is awefull quick to run to the mess hall to celebrate dont you think? I mean it would be like NASA scientists running to the bar 10 seconds after touchdown on Titan??
The premise was ok,we know it was a rip-off of TOS episode the Ultimate Computer but it was just kind of crappy overall. And then he talks about what StarFleet will do to him for lieing to get the Enterprise to help him with his "mission" and Im thinking what reprocussions, this is Star Trek? There are no reprocussions for your actions here. And then, he says, "maybe theyll give me a teaching job"....
Yep, just like Star Trek, to make murderers teachers, cause god forbid you have a few consequences for you actions.
christ that episode sucks, I hope they dont screw up the mirror episode that badly.
By the way, is that black guy now just part of the bulkhead? Him and the tranlator girl had 0 lines in that episode, and about 2 seconds of screen time total. To top it off, it was shared with each other, they looked at each other on the Bridge... lol

I feel so sorry for the actors in Enterprise. They're all very capable actors, but they're given such crappy material to work with so often. Particularly the helmsman and translator, who have such run down roles that I can't even remember their names anymore.
Her name is Hoshi, but his kinda evades me too...
Comparing BSG and ENT makes you think "good job, Star Trek guys, driving away Ron Moore..."
