You forget the stupidity of the tank operators: shove a spear down the barrels and then the tank fires. Got to do some damage. ;)

Tank operators have to see somehow. That means holes in the armour somewhere. :) Not to mention jamming spears in joints. :D
Erm, I'm inclined to believe the spear would just be forced out of the barrel, and that, more importantly, a spearman wouldn't know how to confront a tank anyways. :p

Well, when you talk of spearmen vs tanks it makes you wonder how the worlds militaries would ever deal with an alien invastion!
Speaking of which, THE LLORT ARE COMING! They have allied with the purple and g-r-e-e-n aardvarks and prepare for an invasion even as I post!

You're thinking about it wrong. If the spearman attacks, he'll most certainly lose. HOWEVER, if the spearman is attacked, that's a whole 'nother ballgame! That shield can deflect even the fastest moving non-bullet projectiles. And once the tank is being reloaded, the spearman shoves his weapon of terror down the barrel and stabs the gunner. Think about it, and it makes sense. Sort of. Thankfully, they fixed this design error when mechanized infantry came to be, as many a tank commander were losing to the never ending onslaught of guys with spears and wooden shields.

I think the better way of explaining it would be:
If the spearman is Purple, he will use a purple spear of power which will impale the tank.
If the spearman is g-r-e-e-n, he will simply fail.
No see, the *color that must not be named* spearman would be the only one stupid enough to attack a tank head on (and be slaughtered mercilessly of course). The green spearman would wait until the tank operators went to sleep, then silently creep down, kill them, and take the tank.
Actually, more likely, the plurple spearman would be gunned down at 800 yards.
the green spearman would use the surroundings to his advantage, then get on the take and kill the operators, this taking the tank and wipeing out the rest of the enemy forces.

hey RC...Greens still winning.
3nd year running baby! plurple needs over 200 votes in the next 18 days in order to win. :D
MUAHAHAHA!!!
No, that isn't a license to spam the boards. :)
However, a new Purple cruiser has come into service - it dwarfs even the largest enemy vessel.
Unfortulately even size cannot compensate for its *cough*other disadvantages...:D
Speak for your self.

Long live Purple!
FSCKING SPEARMEN!
A part of me dies every time I lose a tank to one. :(
Indeed.
Spearmen are all over the place, and always seem to live. That whole not dying thing confuses me like little else can.
As for green... ahhh I don't give a *#@¢...
