    Hey, once it gets bad enought that the polar ice caps begin the melt, the sudden influx of still-very-cold water into the ocean will screw up the gulf-stream all to hell, and there won't be a place on Earth that [i]doesn't[/i] get snow. So, cheer up!

    its been on and off.. one week with crazy new snow.. then it all melts off .. and repeat...

    meh i dont mind snow and cold.. it kills off all the bugs,... so you dont get those huge cockroaches and stuff

    How can you not like snow?! It has been my experience that the people who don't like snow simply don't know how to play or how to play in it.

    If anyone is ever in Utah: Come up to Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood canyon - great skiing for real skiers not just posers - Alpine and Cross Country. I work at the Nordic Center as an ski instructor/ski patroller on the weekends to get out of the cubicle. Special discounts for Firstones. ;)

    ** Sadly the same snow killed several foolish people in avalanches in the backcountry. We got 40 inches of heavy snow over very cold powder snow. :(

    I could post all kinds of great images. Solitude, Alta, Brighton and Snowbird have some of the best snow in the west.

    Alta and Solitude are my favorites. These resorts cater to real skiiers. There are no lines to speak of. At Solitude the grooming for Cross Country is among the best. The Backcountry ('black forest' and 'Honeycomb Canyon') is hard to beat. The bunny slopes and cruisers at both resorts are tons of fun too.

    Very nice, I love the snow. Unfortunately I live in the desert, so I dont get to experiance it very often.
